    Old misconceptions.
If a country managed to build efficient military in less than 10 years then their corruption is not that bad. And they have a good track record on election transparency and freedom - plenty of evidence is available online.

Even if Russia somehow defeats Ukraine, they will have lost the war with the rest of the world. They will no longer be trusted while most countries will never deal with them the same again. The Russian people will suffer the most for their crooked governments actions.

The US military was not even able to stop Saddam's Scuds from launching.

What? Democracy in Ukraine? You must be joking. Ukraine is corrupt more than ever before. This is pointed out by Angela Merkel and other European leaders. There is no free press, the opposition is supressed and those who have different opnion are finished in the prison. Basically same as in Russia. So do not fool people that Ukraine is democratic.

You're missing the point. Get the orcs & trolls out then continue the integration with Europe that Putler is trying to prevent. All this war will achieve is to unite Ukranians and open up Western sympathy, expertise & wallets more quickly.

All people come from tribal people, and tribal warfare is total war. The Comanche were just better at it than most, and far better organized.

You are missing the point, EU does not need Ukraine as a member. It is just an extra burden. EU has enough its own problems, that is why UK has departed it and Switzerland and Norway do not want to enter it. So once the war is finished, do not expect that they start to open the wallets for the country led by corrupted people.

I thought you didn't listen to your country's propagandists? You sure seem to be steeped in it.

    Lol.

Ukraine would be no worse an EU member than any other Eastern European, former Soviet Bloc country.

Do not worry. I did not, otherwise I would say Russia is a very democratic country. But you seem to listen to Ukranian propaganda that says Ukraine is a democratic state. Better listen to EU sources and watch interview with Frau Merkel.

There has never been a government that was free of corruption.
Russia is far more corrupt than Ukraine.

Yes, that was before. I liked Merkel's take. Honest. And you could see Germany's reluctance...

However, Europe will see Ukraine as a necessary buffer now. Ukrainians are stubborn and difficult to work with, sometimes. I think it's a challenging country to help. But no Afghanistan. Work aside, the people are basically endearing and it's a beautiful country

Are you aware how these lists are arranged? In 2020 Russia is not in the list. In 2021 it is. No credibility to such results. First the countries can not get in or out of the list so quickly. Second, it is just perseption list. Third, the study done by the US Organizations. I do not beleive their data.

Noone argues here that people are nice in Ukraine. The point is who runs the country. Basically same with Russia. The mentality of people both in Ukraine and Russia is the same.

The people who run countries are seldom very nice.

Zelensky is a POS that has stolen at least almost a billion dollars since he was elected. That's US taxpayer money. Sitting in offshore accounts. For him and his cronies. If he was such a badass or good guy, then he'd round up and control his Nazis in the various military and political divisions. He has not. And I don't give a **** if he's part jew or not.

While I agree with you in this aspect, I do feel Ukraine has more freedoms than Russia. For instance, the people could elect a different president. Russia can only elect Putin while he has made himself and his friends the richest people in Russia. It is hard to fathom the populace allowing this to happen unless you have a dictator who is relentless in enforcing mass authority and persecution. I am sure otherwise to me, life over there isn't much different than many other countries outside of politics and policing.

Who said "Truth is the first casualty of war."?

Prove Zelensky "has stolen at least almost a billion dollars".
    How much has Putin stolen?

There is no such thing as corruption free government, and charges of corruption against a military enemy during war are inherently incredible.
