Insurrection in our time. Colbert says.. They were professional, we were professional, my folks were "just doing their jobs"... So, the Colbert folks jobs is insurrection. The horror. No wonder Brian Stelter can't be on TV anymore...
Ah yes, the individual that his own media origination successfully argued in court that his opinion is so outlandish that only a fool would believe. You Literally Can't Believe The Facts Tucker Carlson Tells You. So Say Fox's Lawyers What does that say about someone that not only believes tucker but actually does so to such an extent that they quote him? I adore how the right says assaulting police officers, threatening to kill the Vice President and stopping a congressional process to nominate the president isn’t an insurrection but people staying past their allotted time, being arrested and complying is.
IT really serves to underscore the ability of those on the left to simply ignore their own criminal behavior. They got arrested, after a congressman allowed them entry into a restricted area, and they behaved horribly. And of course, their boss, the Colbert, excused it by suggesting they were doing their job. Cool. So their job was..... insurrection. Must be. We have the precedent if history to guide us here. The idea that you don't see both the humor and the irony of this is well.... typical.
Hmm.. I'd say it's worse. It happened with the active participation of sitting congressmen. Or did you miss that part? So, we have a conspiracy to attack the capital endorsed and actively supported by sitting elected democrats in congress. Some folks look at the actual laws broken here, and clearly, this incident is far more dangerous in terms of the threat to the nation. But you're willing to ignore it, because? They're your team?
You don't think that given the committee Adam is chairing that he should have known better? Don't you believe that his little cabal of like minded bullies in congress should have known better? The attacks on Congesswoman Green's office by his henchmen? Why do you suppose that we don't have mug shots of the criminals yet? Are we really saying that the production staff from CBS deserve anonymity because they belong to CBS? There are a lot of problems here for democrats, not the least of which is their active collusion with one of the networks to effect terror on the members of congress that they attacked.
It's just pathetic that adults would make this argument. I think we're past the time where we as a country are just going to have to move forward without wasting time arguing with people who aren't ready to sit at the grown up table.
Grownups get to dictate terms, is that how you argue with those who do sit at your table for discussion? "Because I said so!"
The "oh but we're more special than you all" argument. How quaint. To suggest that because you feel like only your opinion on something matters does, however, explain a lot about modern progressives. Moving forward does seem to be the excuse folks on the left use to destroy the world around them. And here you are.
In light of this, it's always been utterly amazing to me that anyone even listens to Sucker at all, let alone imputes any credence to what he says, and I actually felt that way before I heard about the court decision. I mean, when he first came on some years ago he wore ****ing BOW TIES. On a grown man, can you imagine?
Sorry that not wearing the obligatory dull grey Mao jackets offends you.. But it does seem interesting that what you're really only able to argue off the table is you don't like Tucker. Nothing about the actual egregious attack on democracy that Colbert et al launched against the nation in their zeal to attack the institution and the members democracy put in office... At this point, given the collusion between the democratic congresspeople who had to allow this attack to happen, you'd think there'd be hearings, and calls for jail time, you know.. like what Shifty normally opines to his pet media..
Ad homs will likely get you no where. But sticking your fingers in your ears so you don't have to listen.. now that's the ticket....LMAO>
At this point in time they ARE above the law. Reality can be very bitter. Innocent citizens have been held without bail for petty crimes greatly assisted by government agents and assets, even as Colbert's gang spent one night in jail for arguably worse behavior.
Sounds scary! Or should I say, scarry! Let's see, since we're making up stuff, I saw on Jan 6th where Trump personally beheaded several Capitol police! Yeah, sounds like the truth, let's go with that. I mean, if we're going to make stuff up, I say go for it! Unless you like accuracy and truth, then, skip Tucker Carlson's show.
Only if it suits the need at the time. I'll bookmark that comment for another discussion about Trump...................
