You didn't? You said you wanted to attack the SCOTUS, and remake it in your image. That sounds violent to me.
They don't seem to understand state-level bans could force women to continue with unsafe and unwanted pregnancies as well as increase welfare recipients among all the other issues you listed. Oh hell....they understand...they just don't care
I'm not 'gloating' at all. As I said, I have mixed feelings about this. Hopefully this will wake up many women into not getting pregnant when they don't want to or shouldn't.
You must have missed the memo: men can be pregnant now too, so we are as free to opine on the subject as women now.
This always should have been left up to the individual States to decide. It was the right decision for the SC to make.
Versus how many killed babies? But then that argument has always been a canard since even before RvW the overwhelming vast majority of illegal abortions were done by physicians. "On October 19, 1959, Mary S. Calderone, a medical director of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, presented a paper before the Maternal and Child Health Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA) at the 87th Annual Meeting in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she called abortion “no longer a dangerous procedure,” because it was being committed by physicians: n 1955 it was exhaustively contemplated by 43 men and women from the various disciplines of obstetrics, psychiatry, public health, sociology, forensic medicine, and law and demography… the conference estimated that 90 per cent of all illegal abortions are presently being done by physicians. Call them what you will, abortionists or anything else, they are still physicians, trained as such; and many of them are in good standing in their communities. They must do a pretty good job if the death rate is as low as it is. Whatever trouble arises usually comes after self-induced abortions, which comprise approximately 8 per cent, or with the very small percentage that go to some kind of nonmedical abortionist. Another corollary fact: physicians of impeccable standing are referring their patients for these illegal abortions to the colleagues whom they know are willing to perform them… So remember fact number three; abortion, whether therapeutic or illegal, is in the main no longer dangerous, because it is being done well by physicians. “ The fact is that, in the majority of states prior to Roe, physicians were legally permitted to commit “therapeutic abortions” if the woman’s life was endangered. “n many circumstances the difference between the one and the other is $300 and knowing the right person,” stated Calderone, adding in that same speech: t becomes clear that the interpretation of legality is probably in the eye of the beholder. What we have to admit is, as was repeatedly emphasized, that most therapeutic abortions are in the strictest sense of the law actually illegal. Abortion is no longer a dangerous procedure. This applies not just to therapeutic abortions as performed in hospitals but also to so-called illegal abortions as done by physicians. Industry insider Bernard Nathanson admitted that those in his camp fabricated large numbers of women who died from illegal terminations prior to the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. He should know, as he was an early abortionist who worked to decriminalize such laws in the nation by hijacking the women’s movement of his day with the help of Larry Lader, a Sanger biographer. Together, the two men and a few others founded the largest abortion lobby organization at that time, NARAL (as it was known then, the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws). https://www.liveaction.org/news/women-died-illegal-abortion-roe/
I can’t help but chuckle at how many ‘L’’s the libs have taken the last year and a half. - Vaccine mandates - Fail - Roe v Wade - Fail - Rittenhouse - Fail - New York CCW - Fail This is all on top of the crumbling economy their President is steering too. Inflation, housing market, gas prices, supply chain, etc, etc, etc… Everything is a giant failure. They are going to absolutely freak when they get curb stomped in the midterms. If they are foolish enough to run Biden again in 2024, that’s just another fail coming.

If there’s anything about this ruling that bothers me it’s what you said. I’m pro choice only because I don’t think the government should tell people what they can do with their bodies.
I didn’t say you were. you are one of the few that have sat here and said this is a good and a bad thing, which I agree with. I simply believe the bad far far far exceeds the good So kudos to you, my words were not meant to be against you. We need more people that can see both sides of an argument and not just cheer when they are taken rights away from others.
They might have an easier chance of packing the SC with judges that will reverse this Court's ruling. States rarely would give up their rights.
States' rights... The ruling will permit individual states the power to allow, limit, or ban the practice altogether. Let the Democratic Party have their little insurrections over this ruling. I can only imagine the talking points and politicized narrative we will all have to stomach in the months ahead.
Why is it a step backwards that a wrongly decide case, if Justice Ginsberg were here she would voice her concurrence on that, is overturned? Now the pro-abortion side can try to make killing unborn babies a legal act. And by the way in those states which have laws allowing abortion abortion is still legal. EVEN IN MISSISSIPPI abortion is allowed up to 15 weeks it it not banned there.
I just love how these political-judicial cases keep making me a prophet, and how the political-judiciary state(let's call it what it is) is basically invalidating the premise of individual rights in America. Some, like Ben Sasse of Nebraska was able to see this development unfold but most are still naive about the destructive nature of the court. There are conservative court victories today, but there will be liberal court victories tomorrow. These 'victories' do not even out, because it is a universal application of ideals that one half of the country or the other disagree with.
