The ruling is correct. The Federal government has no authority in the matter. It is, and should be, sent back to the states.

That said, I believe the overwhelming majority of The People, including many on the right, want to protect the right of women and their doctors to choose. And I believe there will be a reckoning at the State level for politicians who do not bend to the will of The People in their state, but I don't believe that the SCOTUS will, or should, reverse this decision.

 

I hate both parties - and every election is about voting for the lesser evil because all we get is garbage. Meanwhile people on both sides rationalize how their garbage doesn't stink

No, if dems could get a supermajority in the senate and a majority in the house, we could add enough justices to make the Supreme Court be more in line with the will of the people, which currently, it clearly does not.

 

The relevant point here is that fascism has taken another step to taking over our country, and women will not have a protected right over their own body. Now government can force women to give birth to a child against their will.

But it's also relevant to remember that, before Roe v Wade, the right to abortion was a huge rallying point and political advantage for Democrats. After Roe v Wade, it became a rallying point just as big for the right. I can foresee this turning around again and become an electoral advantage for Democrats.

Again: the RELEVANT part for the country is how fascism is taking over and women rights has become their victim. But the electoral impact of this should not be underestimated..

I just got off a private conference call with all the Supreme Court justices. They decided, in light of the protests, to reverse their opinion. I agreed, gave them the go ahead and they thanked me.

What in the world do these rioters hope to accomplish other than looting and ruining the lives of other people? The ruling is not going to change.
