So a one day old baby can survive on its own?

    And remember, I'm pro abortion.

If a woman aborts a baby that could exist outside of the host, should she be charged with murder?

So then a woman who aborts a baby that could survive outside of the womb should be charged with murder right?

Or did you not think this through?

"My leaders" as it is with your leaders are those that carry out my positions. I recognize that my leaders are not always in a position to do that and I accept that. But I continue to participate in the democratic process of voting with the hope that eventually they will be and I'll get to see more of my positions enacted into law. Even now your leaders are talking codifying Roe legislatively. We'll see if they succeed. I hope not.

My appendix is comprised of living cells yet it is not a baby.
My heart has a heartbeat yet it is not a baby.

    You need to rethink.

Question, would you approve of abortion for cases of rape, incest, or any other cases?

Yea, but doesn't a fetus share the cells of the male as well? Why then doesn't he have a say so over what's done with his cells?

    That’s not true at all.

New Jersey allows abortion up until the day of birth for any reason whatsoever. In New Jersey you don’t even have to provide a reason.

Because it's not in his body. Duh. If they take it out, I support letting him have it.

Sorry Grape. That's not valid. You're referring to viability. We don't know what you're referring to by reference to "life". My appendix is "alive"; it has "life". All living cells can be shown to have evidence of "life". Self-awareness is an additional aspect of some "life" or things that are "alive".

We should probably go with legal and medical definitions ....

Excellent, Andy! I certainly hope you're right! Now... if Congress wants to make a law mandating a woman's right to control EVERYTHING in and on her own body, that's FINE with me!

You actually expect this corrupt court to be consistent? Realists know better.

LOL ~ And a penalty is a tex, right?

    ANYTHING GOES!

And now that the champions of individual rights in the SCROTUS have reminded us that we don't possess an inherent right to self-proprietorship - the phantom, unexpressed right from which many of our other rights are derived and expressed in that annoying Constitution thingy they don't give a damn about - who knows which right will be next to vanish into the ether over the Roberts Court?

As Jonathan Mayhew bleated in his 1749 sermon A Discourse Concerning Unlimited Submission and Non-Resistance to the Higher Powers, civil tyranny begins with a drop in the bucket and ends in a flood...

Then aborting a baby that's close to full term would be ending a life, right?

Oh, but you just unwittingly acknowledged that the fetus is not part of the woman's body. It's just a separate life (consisting of both the cells of the woman and man) sharing her body.

Um... more likely, Congress will simply pass a law making abortion legal throughout the United States... and that will be that -- FINALLY....

    OK.
Since I have no evidence that any of the men in here have any real experience of this subject let me tell you à true story.
I was in my second year at uni in
1972. As happens I fell in love with an older student. It was genuine, and we planned to marry after graduation
He had an apartment off campus and we had sex, which is allowed in your Constitution. In those days abortion was illegal as was the pill.
We were careful. We wanted à career and some money before children.
Then the condom slipped. And I was prégnant.
His parents decided I should have an abortion. My family was a complicated car crash. I didn't even tell my friends because of the shame.
His Mother paid 500 dollars for à table in a brownstone in NY City kitchen and à bucket.
No I didn't want an abortion. But it wasn't the right time. It would have been à catastrophe.
But if abortion had been legal, I wouldn't have been terrified of dying and may well have gone on to be able to have children.
So you can dump your facile finger wagging and moralising. Every couplé who finds themselves needing help should be seen as an individual needing support. Not à lecture.
Or more problems getting the help you need.
No state machinery can remove the human right to make ones own choices depending on the thousands of circumstances people live with.
The state seizure of the right to Peeping Tom behaviour removes the liberty to steer your own course and take your life in a direction you want.
I will never accept the supremacy of the rights of à bunch of cells which cant exist outside the womb to fully functioning adults with decades of sentient life both behind and in front of them.

So does Colorado. Horrible law that has zero exception through the entire term. We are 1 of 7 countries that allow for late term abortions...

So wait we are supposed to feel bad for you because of your little boohoo story about being scared while you murdered your child because you didn’t have a legal Avenue to do it…. A story that resulted from YOUR willful, conscious actions…

But we aren’t supposed to feel bad for the innocent little baby you MURDERED because you were irresponsible and made piss poor decisions so someone who had NOTHING to do with your piss poor decision making had to die?

    Are you joking right now?

Your confidence is reassuring but mine got shot to sh*t after the SCROTUS magically transformed a penalty into tax...
