Most pregnancies are still accidental. No method of contraception is foolproof. People's lives should not be ruined just because of an accident. Also, this decision is very clearly a first step. All and any forms of contraception are next.
The vast majority of the reasons why a woman gets an abortion is due to inconvenience which makes abortion a form a birth control. What would you call it when two people chose to do the one thing that can create babies only to kill the baby should they luck out?

Or as principled. It isn't taken away. It is returned for review. And it is only in this narrow matter of pregnancy, not on the totality of any womans life. There is no constitutional right to an abortion in the Constitution. As such, the matter goes to the State and citizens.
