Oil companies are also on record saying they won't increases production because they like the price of oil where it is.

Biden and the Dems attack on our energy sector not only badly damaged the US it has badly damaged the world. Now we have Biden begging Venezuela, who can't ramp up in the short term, the Saudis who are already maxed and Biden is so unaware that the French President has to tell him, essentially, IT'S YOU GUYS WHO need to increase supply.

See I agree with ya there. Fat cat Bidephiles worry more about useless objects then they do about the poor folk they claim to represent.

    Nice gif, it's actually true.

Nothing multiplies inflation factors like inflation in fuel prices as everything that moves is moved by fuel, so this inflation isn't added just once, it added over and over and over again, at each step in the process.

If More supply has no effect on global fuel inflation, why is Biden releasing from the SPR?

If Supply has nothing to do with global fuel price inflation, why is Biden releasing from the SPR? Why is Biden begging other countries to produce more?

I get that you don't understand all of the nascent costs that went into that expense. It starts at the container cost of transport, driven up wildly by an irresponsible energy policy by this president. It runs into labor costs that have sky rocketed, agains because of the stupidity of the president's domestic public health BS laws, which drives up cost. And then, transportation from a port which has almost tripled. More cost. And as inflation hits property values, taxation rates go up. More thanks Joe BS. So, the example you laugh at makes a most excellent example of all of the ways Biden et al have attacked the economy, and we pay more. And the more we pay, the more inflation hurts us. And the worst thing is you don't see it, or recognize the swirl to the drain that these policies are pushing us into.

Would you rather I use the cost of my electric car and the energy to run it? I could.

What an utterly stupid response. Clearly, you don't know what pricing reflects. The only greed we see these days is from the democrats who want prices to rise so ad velorum and other use taxes rise with it so they have more money to control. Or did you forget that part?

When talking about world food prices let's not forget another energy fraud. Ethanol. It makes no sense to be using a food for powering our cars.

https://news.mongabay.com/2007/02/ethanol-always-not-as-green-as-some-believe/#:~:text=Ethanol is generally not as green as some,University professor of chemical engineering and materials science.

It sounded nice in 1980. Renewable, we grow it here etc. But it is not green, it is not efficient and it raises the cost of food world wide and here. It takes 26 pounds of corn to make just one gallon of ethanol.

All the inflation occurred after Biden said he would end the use of fossil fuel which drove up oil prices.

Biden bragged about stock prices until the stock market crashed.

Biden should adopt the philosophy of the military. When a commander takes command of a unit, he is responsible for what happens to the unit from that minute forward. Blaming your predecessor can be a career ender.

A couple things here. You assert my example was a priority? Laughable. And unnecessary. But it does create an excellent example of the number of contributory costs that all went into why fireworks are so much more expensive this year. I know, went totally over your head... Shocking.

And it wasn't supposed to be a comparison. it was an example. Food is getting vastly more expensive, as noted, and is being driven by the guy you seem to be supporting. So, do you feel responsible for the pain the people are feeling because you support this BS?

You can be sorry for many things. Perhaps you should look inward...

We just ate at our favorite authentic Mexican restaurant. One of the frustrating things about menus written on a wall is that they cannot keep up with the price changes.

I ordered Caldo de res a beef vegetable stew one of my favorite things. The price on the menu was $10.99. They charged us $13.99. That's a 27.2% increase! That's no joke.

So while our European friends can berate some of us for wanting to celebrate our country with fireworks the increased cost for things is real. I'm not an economic complainer I don't like doing that for political purposes but these price increases are not just 8-10%.

While a sharp increase for a July 4th cookout or Thanksgiving meal has it's symbolic value that is real food that we eat every day. We eat hamburger meat, bread and potatoes every day!
