all the inflation happened after demand increased, and the supply was not there as Trump reduced it during Covid

We were energy independent at that time. We did not need Saudi oil. When Biden said he would end the use of fosil fuels, investers pulled back and the price went up.

we are producing more oil now then the day Trump left office

we are not short oil... just American oil does not mean cheaper oil

Gas prices will get cheaper when foreign oil increases production and force US oil to lower prices

But we could be producing more which does mean cheaper oil.

nope it does not, the price is set globally and we can not produce that much nor would we want too

we do not want to use up our finite supply of oil that fast, would not be nice to our children, let's save some for them so they do not have to beg other countries for oil

Then the Saudis could have had no influence.

Who's "we"? We haven't nationalized petroleum, so it's up to the petroleum companies to do that. And it's a globally traded commodity, so the notion of "energy independence" is a fiction.

US oil doesn't want to produce more oil as it would lower price, the Saudis are starting to increase supply

Untrue. The Saudis nationalized production. SA could decide to increase production as a nation, and may be able to even influence other OPEC nations, which is NOT something the US can do. Here, the petroleum cos. decide production. Totally distinct situations.

    We means US companies.

We did not need oil from any other country. This means, they cannot threaten us. They can reduce their production, but we can make up any shortfall.

The US only started reduced investments after Biden said he would end fossil fuel.

In spite of all your tossing and turning, all the price increases took place after Biden became president. He won it and now he owns it.

So, they're making massive profits now. Why would they change anything?

Besides, you've got the "energy independence" thing wrong. They sell on the global market, not just here.

    Source?

Biden's got nothing to do with the production or pricing of oil.

When you tell someone their investments are not going to pay off, they tend to stop investing.

    Source, please.

The claim is illogical at any rate. Petroleum companies are making huge profits right now.

Hmm. So a thorough breakdown of how costs are effecting consumer products was too advanced. Got it. There is no other point to make. The cost of basic stuff costs more because this president doesn't care about the people, he only cares to "transition" the economy to "green" which effectively remakes this nation as at best a 2nd world country. And y'all cheer for that. It's disgusting.

Source? Look at every large energy producer. Every one of them isn't investing in new because as Biden has threatened, the sector will be dead soon. You don't seem to understand economics. As a company, if you knew your product had a short shelf life, would you invest to make more after the government who defined your short shelf life asked you to? It's laughable. Perhaps this is the way communist dictators believe the economy works...

So fireworks are in your basket of comparable inflation.
Yeah. I can see what illuminates your concerns.

No. I would be investing in New technologies.
The investment in batteries in Europe is huge.
Is yours the promise of the future?

So proven wrong your answer is smug? That doesn't seem like a good strategy. Why do you want to see the people suffer? Does it fill you with glee knowing that some day soon, in your Scottish home, the electricity will black out because the sun didn't shine, or the wind stopped? How green with envy will you be then for places that didn't follow you down the stupid hole?

For the foreseeable one, for sure. Batteries mean kids in the DRC die because you demand they work to find you the cobalt for you cool toys. Or did you forget that part? Or you just don't care?
