    Would you agree to Swiss model gun-laws?

    Its weird the NRA promotes the Swiss model, when they would scream off the top of their lungs of such laws were imposed on US gun owners.

    t makes a great deal of sense to have laws which will keep guns away from people who are likely to use them to hurt others. Guns in the wrong hands are the very definition of something that is inherently dangerous. They SHOULD be a little difficult to obtain. A truly law abiding citizen will find even stringent regulation to be just a minor inconvenience but someone who is a danger to others should find it almost impossible to get one.

    Gun regulation laws are PART AND PARCEL of our enforcement of laws against violent crime. You simply CANNOT enforce laws against violent crime when instruments which make extreme violence against many people very VERY easy for ANYONE are readily available and I just don't understand how you can argue against that.

    It makes more sense to arrest criminals who are a danger to society and have committed crimes. You aren't going to make it harder for them to get a gun. Going after legal objects instead of violent criminals is idiotic to the max.

    Why? Criminals are human beings with resources equal to or greater than our own which they use to the fullest extent to elude capture. Guns are non sentient things we can easily proscribe. I think it is the height of silliness to arm criminals and then arm ourselves as protection against the criminals we ourselves have armed

    But, you aren't going to disarm the criminals. Because of that reality, law abiding citizens must have the right to arm themselves in self-defense. I refer you back to my comment about 5 dudes forcing their way into your home: you won't fight them off hand-to-hand. They will overpower you and do whatever harm they please.

    There were Indians murdering people by the hundreds, instead. Hence the reason for the 2nd Amendment.

    Children armed with modern assault rifles are a major source of soldiers in Africa. They handle them as well as adults

    My point is these guns are VERY easy to use to kill large groups of people by almost any person. Do you really think such weapons should be readily available to ANYONE?

    How do you think cops feel when they know that nearly any time they approach someone that person may easily be armed better than he is?

    That's the final goal to me.

    But that's not really necessary, Even with the latest decisions guns could be regulated to a much greater and more effective extent than they are.
