Yeah, they know. And with them, it's by any means necessary to stop Trump from running. They don't care how unethical or illegal it is. We are witness to how much they tolerate, to what means they will tolerate to rid the country of Trump for good.

You know what could clear much of this up? If Trump showed us the warrant. We know he has it, it’s how his lawyer knew the magistrates name. So why is he hiding it?

In January, an official for the National Archives flew to Florida and retrieved 15 boxes of documents, gifts and other government property.

When archivists went through the boxes, they found several documents containing sensitive national security information, including some marked classified.

The archivists also discovered that Trump had not returned several documents that they believed the former president had in his possession. Around this time, the National Archives alerted the Justice Department that it was concerned about the handling of the classified documents, which are closely tracked by the government and are supposed to remain within secure channels.

January they left with the 15 boxes.
With more boxes they felt left behind because it seems, there were still unaccounted for documents.

Good eye. I admit I missed it. According to unnamed sources is what stood out to me in the poster's CNN phony source.

Is there _any_ conspiracy theory you haven't fallen for? Just one, somewhere?

    Didn't think so.

I hate to break this to you, but throwing every conspiracy theory you have at the wall isn't going to save your criminal messiah. The courts care nothing about such nonsense.

Nah only the left is so ignorant that they can't see the obvious fishing in this search. As their left hero Cuomo said yesterday, if this is about archives, this will be a major blow to the DOJ and Democrat Party.

And the access was give and the FBI and Archives inspected the documents in June, requested they be kept in the room they were stored and an additional lock be placed on it. They did not remove them.

"Investigators met with Trump's lawyers at Mar-a-Lago months ago to evaluate the documents Trump had taken during his time at the White House, CNN reported. Trump was also present during the meeting, albeit momentarily, sources told CNN.

The CNN report does not specify when exactly investigators met with Trump, but said Trump aides were interviewed about the documents by the FBI in April and May.

During Monday's search of his office, Trump was at Trump Tower in New York City.

After investigators asked to see where Trump stored his documents, attorneys for the former president took investigators to the basement room at Mar-a-Lago. Days later, the attorneys received a letter asking to lock that same room, sources told CNN. The report does not mention who sent the letter."

They knew what the documents were and where they were specifically stored. Why did they get a warrant to search the ENTIRE house for anything and everything they could find including rummaging through the former First Lady's personal bedroom and wardrobes and Trump's personal desk and safe?

You aren't really falling for this ruse are you?

News outlets report that investigators subpoenaed NARA for access to the classified documents retrieved from Mar-a-Lago. The subpoena, which is part of the process to allow investigators to take possession of the documents from the NARA, is the first public indication of the Justice Department using a grand jury in its investigation.
    June 3, 2022
Four investigators, including a top Justice Department counterintelligence official, visit Mar-a-Lago seeking more information about classified material that had been taken to Florida. The four investigators meet with two of Trump's attorneys, Christina Bobb and Evan Corcoran, and look around the basement room where the documents are being stored. Trump briefly stops by the meeting to say hello to the officials, but he does not answer any questions.

Trump's attorneys receive a letter from federal investigators, asking them to further secure the room where documents are being stored. In response, Trump aides add a padlock to the room in the basement of Mar-a-Lago.

And just how do you propose to get the 2 parties, who are likely in cahoots, to reduce their own power.

Afterall, us dumbass electorates keep reelecting the same people.
Many have been in DC for 40 yrs or more.

Why would he destroy them? They are his personal items for his future use. He had given full access to them last June and the FBI and Archives knew exactly where they were stored under an additional lock they had requested be installed. To claim there was some fear that when Trump say the FBI caravan pulling up he would run down to the basement room and light them afire is asinine at best.

And Clinton hid her server tried to destroy the evidence and then lied about it so I wouldn't claim she cooperated in the least anymore than she did during Whitewater where she hid the billing records for almost two years trying to falsify them and she and her husband had their quid pro quos with witnesses who went to jail refusing to testify against them. Foster was trying to do so when he realized he was going to be charged with crimes so he killed himself.

Wow so the FBI director lied, wouldn't the first time no doubt. I will never understand why the left push knowingly false information to form their opinions for their minions. You prove it works, so I'm starting to believe it works.

Yes they knew exactly what were the documents and where they were being stored. Why did they raid the house in a whole house search and take whatever they could find with them?

If you're going to raid the home of the immediate past president then you damned well better KNOW what you're looking for AND have the case ready to go. As such, and being more than 36 hours after the raid, Trump should be in handcuffs and the whole world should have been apprised of his crimes. Since neither of those things have happened it's looking a LOT more like this was merely a high profile fishing expedition by the DoJ. I know that makes NeverTrumpers happy about the raid but that whole "unprecedented" thing gets more and more troubling the longer the raid, having no criminal effect on Trump, appears to have been a made for TV propaganda piece.

Or is believed to still have missing documents. And trump wasn't being entirely cooperative in returning documents that were deemed still missing.

    LoL.

Do you think the FBI went and seized a toothbrush and a pair of shoes?

Trump illegally took classified documents that he refused to return to the national archives.

How hard is that to understand?

You need a high burden of proof because you have to explain it to the public. This goes a long way towards confidence in federal law enforcement. Deserved or not, people have been trying to bust Donald Trump for a while now, since he was elected, and it didn't always pan out. Without that high burden of proof, this is just going to be chalked up to FBI harassment, and folks would be right to do so if they can't show the public the justification necessary to raid a divisive former president.

Apparently the DOJ agreed with him, but is that really a surprise. Wasn't it Loretta Lynch (the AG) that met with Bill Clinton to "discuss grandchildren" around that time?

Sometimes I feel sorry for Trump in that even he didn't know the extent of the swamp and how many of the critters managed to weasel their way into his administration.

You don't think the FBI and DOJ give press conferences and statements about potential cases. Good grief man think about what you're saying and all the news conferences talking about persons of interest and potential charges.
