It was Comey who exposed which party was overestimated for it's principles and sent Clinton packing and the DNC crying foul. To this day they are still butt hurt looking for revenge. That is what this is about.

Dude they were all in next man up positions. All had already served in government for years and in some cases decades.

I meant sealed to the extent that trump didn’t get a copy. He must have or his lawyer wouldn’t know who the magistrate was.

Doesn't matter what one thinks about the documents............Trump is not allowed to Keep them. ........No POTUS is........They are all property of the people.

Maybe these documents will provide further embarrassment about the trump regime............. as why would be even take them in the first place. And why didn't he give back all the documents the last time??

Again ...he is the author of his own consequences. He could have prevented all this theater by a not taking them in the first place........and b......returning ALL of them.........with the last batch. (some 15 boxes) More foolish and irresponsible behavior from him...........But he thrives on the drama, attention........and will use it in his favor one way or another.......

All that's missing is the term "Deep State." Can you work that in somehow?

Was I surprised? Not really no. Desperate people especially desperately stupid would be tyrants almost always do desperately stupid things.

it has always been better than Trump's on this issue. Donald treated the DOJ, The FBI, the Attorney General and even special appointed counsel as his personal servants. to do as His Majesty demands, when His Majesty demanded it.

ALL documents are reviewed by the presidential archivists, so no, a president just doesn't take what he wants.
How do the archivists/FBI know what's missing and what they want back from Trump?
Well, that's a no-brainer if you and others had bothered to investigate.

    Snip:

"Nearly every piece of paper a U.S. president touches, in fact, is catalogued, first by the Office of Records Management and later by the National Archives, whose staffers pore over each document — from party invites to letters — before it can make its way into a presidential library.'"

    Snip:

"How Do the Archivists Know What Presidential Records Are Missing?

"The archivists probably have a really keen idea of what is and what isn't missing, based upon things that they've gotten out of other offices, like the vice president's office and things that were deposited from the secretary of state, for example. There are a lot of papers that are referenced and cross-referenced, multiple copies or multiple things going in and out of offices.

Reality check, the man is in his mid seventies, and holds enough wealth and power to hire a dream team of defense attorneys, voir dire experts, and appelate court advocates to keep Lady Justice blindfolded for well over a decade . He's not doing any perp walks.

No way Biden would have stepped all over his great news and numbers with a raid on the trump crime club. They would have waited for all of the great news to be old news. And if this was about 2024 Biden would have waited at least a year.

As usual, the alleged arguments from the wrong wing don't add up.

If we really do know the name of the judge, trump must have told someone. The only way to know right now would be to see the warrant. And trump is afraid to show it to anyone.

So trump was likely attempting to get the judge killed by releasing his name.

You do have an overriding problem with your TIMELINE, Golem, and I don't know what to tell you to do about comprehending the fundamental differences between 2016, and, 2017. Even before the election in November 2016, the entire set of Hillary's crimes had been removed from consideration by "friendly forces" and any further inquiry was sealed-off by the FBI, and the presiding Attorney General herself!

The entire "Hillary affair" came to a climax in July of 2016, and was swept under the rug, when Obama was president, when Loretta Lynch was Attorney General, and when Jim Comey was Director of the FBI! In May 2017, based on everything that was known by then, Trump fired Comey... almost four months AFTER Trump became President of the United States.

As a fellow poster who prides himself continuously on the rigor he employs in doing his 'research', SURELY you can follow a simple timeline -- and its ramifications....

Make 'book' on this if nothing else -- Trump will not (NOT) be treated with the same, uh, 'generosity' that Hillary was....
