She deleted a lot of emails before FBI agents had the possibility to take a look ...

Yes. It's their job to "act faster", not Trump's obligation to comply with the law.

I'm also not asserting a statute of limitations. I use my words. I'm suggesting that just maybe that this is a ridiculous analogy to draw.

I'm all for more IRS auditors.
I'm still waiting on my tax refund for this year.
It's probally sittinig on somebodys desk, under a foot tall stack of papers that they need to check out line by line.

I find that IRS agents are regular human beings. If you're reasonable, then so are they.

    In any case ...
The urgency of this search was caused by documents about nuclear weaponry.
At least this is what Washington Post reported ...
I've read the list of the documents [it's just a summary].
No papers related with nuclear weapons are there.

Anyway, Trump as President was entitled to classify and declassify everything.
That's a personal power of the President. He can even do that in private ...
So, if he says he declassified those documents in private ... I'm curious to see how a justice court will sustain otherwise.

And don't forget those smashed cell phones. Hell, the 1/6 kangaroo court is complaining about the SS deleting the contents of their cell phones but didn't bat an eyelash when she went beyond that.

I'm no criminal defense lawyer. But I have done some prosecution work in a past life.

It's not the footsoldiers that are the problem. They're just following the orders of their superiors (and know what can happen to them if they complain).

Ok. Then let me ask you a simple question (for any type of lawyer). Why defend someone you know is guilty?

Because everyone is entitled to a defense. The government must prove its case and isn't entitled to railroad people.

Then as a defense attorney you should be concerned about what is happening to Trump. At the very least, questioning the tactics of this raid when it's been reported that Trump was cooperating. Even as a prosecutor you should want fair treatment otherwise you risk losing your case as well as the trust of the public. Why do you think there has been efforts to recall DAs?

No. Our perspective is fine. We are perfectly capable of seeing the difference.

Security logs of Clinton's email server showed no evidence of hacking.
Who told you that? Why would prosecutors violate their oaths of office for expediency and the sake of appearances?

Trump's having absconded with and concealed top secret and classified documents is currently under investigation.

A server not certified for classified information would not necessarily have the ability to determine whether they were hacked.
However, the server was more likely to have been compromised than boxes of classified in Trump's residence.

    Greetings, Luke!

Attempted diversions such as to Clinton's emails doesn't work for me. As a matter of litigation, nothing prosecutable was found - despite hyper-partisan zeal to do so.

In the same deference to reality, I accept the certified votes of fifty states, supported by recounts, audits, investigations, and dozens of court challenges.

Clinton's foolish use of a private server in no way informs upon the current topic: Citizen Trump's removal and concealment of sensitive documents concerning national security.

I assign him no nefarious intent. I attribute his irresponsibility to ignorance.

But I'm not a defense attorney, and what I know about the search warrant is that it was carried out to the letter of the law. In fact, he was indulged much more than a regular joe would've been indulged.

It looks to me that he knew what he was doing, and had no justification for it. He should be held accountable for his chosen course of conduct.

Trump had all the time in the world to go after Hillary. He didn't. So either she is innocent or trump is afraid of her.

Apparently not. It's like you're looking into your neighbor's window and presuming that you "know" what they're all about.

Defense or not you conceded that everyone deserves fair treatment and not to be "railroaded" by law enforcement agencies. You don't see the cognizant disconnect between that and your analysis of this now?

It was prosecutable. Intent to mishandle classified information is not required for prosecution. When you deal with classified information, you are required by law to handle it properly.

It is not a diversion. It is reality. Hilary was treated entirely different than Trump.

    No one was railroaded.

Do you just make this crap up?
