Joe Biden has been pushing a student loan bailout via executive fiat. He keeps scaling it back as he gets sued for violating the Constitution and his oath of office. It was a blatantly unconstitutional attempt to buy Democrats votes before the mid-term elections.

    He spoke about it yesterday...
Biden: "It's passed. I got it passed by a vote or two."

This is his signature "legislation" of the mid-terms and he has absolutely no clue about how it is doing. He has been making a lot of confused statements on this issue ever since his administration announced it. But, how can his administration defend this action in court when the chief executive doesn't even know it hasn't gone through the legislature like it is supposed to?

They think they can pull the wool over the eyes of Americans that they have a geriatric abomination of a puppet that they wheel out to do their bidding.

Bidens mind is melted was according to sideshowbob and I couldn’t agree more.

60 Minutes: Mr. President, what do you say to the people when we have the worst economy in decades

Biden: What are you talking about? Inflation is only up by a very small percentage. We have a very strong economy, Comeon man.

Biden and his following 15%ers live in delusion with each other.

LOL...Yes, according to them, only a neurologist can tell whether grandpa has lost his marbles, and since he has not had a neurologist come forward and say so, then none of us can believe or trust our lying eyes.

Biden's handlers are getting what they want and meanwhile Bidden doesn't have a clue. Biden never had many marbles to begin with and now he has lost those. Come on MSM -- get on this case and off the gender crap and the abortion crap.

so for people that worked extra hours to pay for their education (like me), there is no reimbursement?
So people are being rewarded for being irresponsible?
How is this NOT going to piss people off?

The GI bill paid for my college. My wife got loans that we paid off. We paid for my son's college.

I think everyone's student loans should be completely forgiven.

I'm sorry that you see your fellow Americans as competitors.

Speaking of embarrassment, even the states bringing the suit aren't claiming the forgiveness is unconstitutional. They are claiming the forgiveness program will irreparably harm their states' student loan programs. Have you been making a lot of confused statements on this issue ever since his administration announced it?

When you try to please everyone, someone will be displeased. When you give to a minority group, other groups will be angry they were left out. We give to single mothers, we give to illegals, we give to the homeless, we give to the unemployed, we give to the pregnant, we give to the student, we give to the disabled, we give to foreign countries, meanwhile Joe Schmoe only gets a tax increase and audited by the IRS. Me thinks the Treasury Dept will need to order more printing presses.

Well since this is pretty much about education, what sort of lesson are we teaching people? Make a loan, then expect society to bail your ass out? What sort of lessen is this teaching others that will also take out loans NOW and in the future..

Deadbeat barrowers the rest of their lives..

    Most. Votes. In. History.

Just keep in mind how long it took Obama to endorse him.

I guess it just depends on whether you are concerned about yourself or the country.

The greedy entitled crowd does not care about the responsible peoples' feelings.
They want what they want. Those who pay their debt are just collateral damage.

How is it not greedy to be mad about someone getting a bailout because you had to pay your way.

It's pretty much the same thing as greed.

How can you not figure this out? It's not greedy for the responsible to pay their own way and also expect others to pay their own way.

In both cases it's is people looking out for their own individual interests. How can you not figure that out.

I would say it's more envious or spiteful than greedy. For the record I don't agree with this loan forgiveness.

I don't disagree that it creates the same kind of moral hazard created by the bailout of the banks during the financial crisis. But while it has inevitably become a political cudgel for Repubs there are practical considerations.

Student-debt cancellation could boost the economy
Bharat Ramamurti, a member of the Congressional Oversight Commission, recently tweeted out a thread that argues the benefits of cancelling student loan debt for these millions of borrowers based on previous studies and government data.

"The bottom line is that broad debt cancellation via executive order is popular, economically potent, and — most importantly — life-changing for millions of Americans struggling through this crisis," Ramamurti wrote on Twitter.

    No, it isn't.
People who are looking out for their own best interests don't expect others to pay off their debt.

Were there this many complaints about forgiven PPE loans? I don't remember it.

You need standing to sue. If states are directly bringing the lawsuits, they need to make the state the aggrieved party. There are other lawsuits in motion that are not from state attorney generals. This response screams of getting half of a story from an extremist opinion entity that doesn't even have a basic understanding of how the law works.

Yes, sometimes people make ridiculous posts on this forum and I have to decipher what they're trying to say based on a lack of knowledge of the underlying issue and the law. My responses to them are sometimes confused since I have to dumb down my knowledge and to try to comprehend where their argument is coming from.

Allow me to quote Nancy Pelosi for you: “people think that the president of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not. He can postpone. He can delay but he does not have that power. That would have to be an act of Congress.”

The Department of Education also issued a memo issued agreeing with Pelosi that the president does not have the authority to cancel student loan debt.

So why don't you try making a coherent argument as to how this is constitutional? I await your response debunking elected Democrats and Biden's own Department of Education. Good luck. You'll need a lot of it.
