Do You trust the pending House & Senate ballot tabulations? Moi Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic, regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
Similar to Dana Rohrabacher. Good man. Now GWTW because he was targeted A "hands across the aisle" who frustrated both House leadership(s).
Similar pattern 1960 NIXON vs JFK with Illinois machine Daley and VP candidate delivering Texas with registered voters, deceased voting! For JFK, of course Similar pattern for Dana Rohrabacher defeat. After one term Dem, we have R Asian babe Michelle Steel The sooner the tabulation the less vulnerable it is to manipulations. Moi
Plus There were some Republican activists in Arizona who advocated that voters intentionally wait until Election Day itself to drop off their ballots. Why Arizona election results are taking days - ABC News (go.com)
I trusted the overall election process and this vote-counting a few days ago -- UNTIL it became obvious to me that weird, inexplicable 'delays' have occurred, and 'last-minute' batches of ballots keep showing up in various places -- but only in 'battleground' areas, in hotly-contested places that actually are saturated with Democrats. Now, I'm beginning to wonder if any of this year's elections can really be trusted at all. And before anybody starts raising hell with me about this, let me add -- NO, I AM NOT SOMEONE WHO THINKS THAT THE 2020 ELECTION WAS "STOLEN"! But, something about this year's midterm elections is just not right... and we'd better get it sorted-out pretty quickly, too.
the only thing 'off' this election was republicans supporting taking away women's rights.... otherwise Republicans would have had a red wave Republicans mistakenly thought this was what the people wanted
We have that in Florida. It doesn’t take a week +. I got an email a week after I mailed in my ballot.
Odd how the problems are always in red states that set the tone of the election process. What is it, they make rules just so they can whine about the rules they make?
I agree with you about the whole idiotic way that the SCOTUS handled the 'Roe v Wade' thing. Even though it was defective law (even Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg said so), it was SETTLED law! And for Justice Samuel Alito to decide cavalierly to just get the whole thing thrown out after it had been integrated into American womens' expectations for FORTY-NINE YEARS, was inexpressibly, and unbelievably STOOPID, shortsighted, and politically DISASTROUS! I saw this coming, clearly, and I began writing posts about it back on May 5th here in the Forum. And now, sure enough, that "Red Wave" that seemed sure to wash the radical, 'woke' Democrat crud out of Congress has failed, and now nothing will stop these hyperliberal schemers from turning our country into just another embattled 'failed-state'. . "Hey, I'll drink to THAT...!"
The Republicans didn't want mail-in voting because of the weak innaccurate time consuming signature matching. Are you suggesting that there should be no signature requirements?
well it can be looked at several ways-politically, Justices like Alito (first in his class at Princeton) and Roberts (first in his class at harvard and Harvard law) knew that this decision was going to hurt the GOP so you have to give them credit for not letting politics interfere with what was a correct legal decision. Sadly, precedent that sucks has been allowed to remain-such as the idiocy of Wickard v Filburn-FDR nonsense that his lapdog court created in lieu of actually amending the constitution and gutless conservative courts allowed to stand. That being said, most sexually active single women see abortion as more important that inflation, feeding their often non-existent children, or public safety and voted accordingly. The KAREN vote is why a barely functional guy who never grew up (Fetterman) was able to win in Pennsylvania. OZ should have said that since the Supreme Court decision, Abortion was NO LONGER A FEDERAL CONCERN rather than spewing that idiocy that it should be between the mother, the sperm donor and LOCAL Politicians.
well Desantis implemented some rational controls on the nonsense of ballot harvesting in Florida and guess what? He CRUSHED Crist.
I can see the point you make, but first -- I don't trust Roberts as far as I can spit in a 100 m.p.h. headwind after he singlehandedly rewrote Obamacare's legal status to make it kind-of, sort-of "legal", changing it from a "mandate" (as passed by Congress) to a "tax"! The SCOTUS can't rewrite laws, but Roberts did... and nobody called his hand on it. Next, was it just complete coincidence that Alito decided to obliterate 'Roe v. Wade' in 2022... or was it just unbelievable obliviousness and abject stupidity?! I guess we'll never know now, but one thing is sure -- getting rid of 'Roe', as defective as it was, fanned the hatred of millions of American women against Republicans in general and Conservatives in particular. You didn't need to be "first in your class" at Princeton, Harvard, or anywhere else to know (KNOW) that the SCOTUS pulling this crap was going to cause BIG trouble for those of us right-of-center in the midterm elections. And now just look at the disaster that Alito and the other SCOTUS morons have brought on us... We on the Right were going to 'flush the toilet' in Congress, but now we're probably going to remain up to our earlobes in the same old radical, 'woke' Democrat VOMIT we've been stuck with for the last two fugging years! search recall marker
Isn't part of being a representative of the American people, to align one's political views with the electorate? If not, they won't vote for you.
Yes, Dairy. And that is one reason, among several, why Alito and the SCOTUS' conservative Justices should have left 'Roe' alone! It was settled law in this country for DECADES. What reckless, oblivious madness must have come over Alito to even start this debacle -- and especially THIS YEAR...?!
But it wouldn't matter, if R candidates aligned with the voters. Some states voted against R candidates because they don't align with the majority of voters. Else it would not be an issue.
I have mixed feelings. I wish the 1934 NFA and the other federal gun control laws would be stricken as violating both the tenth and second amendments but those reversals would not (as Scalia noted) cause "social upheaval (which is why one of his most esteemed former clerks-professor Steven Calabrese-Called Scalia a "faint hearted conservative")
All I can reply at the moment is that passage of the National Firearms Act of 1934 neither swept Democrats out of power, nor did it give Republicans of the day more power. But today, in 2022, what Conservatives on the Supreme Court led by Justice Alito did earlier this year played a very large role in Democrats keeping control of the Senate. What was supposed to be a joyful "flushing of the Congressional toilet" has resulted in our still being stuck in that toilet up to our conservative earlobes. Reality? We have achieved next to NOTHING besides shooting ourselves in one foot (the Senate), while MAYBE being able to 'stop-the-bleeding' in the other one (the House).... And if it turns out that Democrats keep a majority in the House, too, then we're REALLY screwed, and the irresponsible, America-hating 'woke' insanity will continue to spread throughout this country like malignant cancer. . "Well, that sure won't break OUR hearts...."
do you think USSC Justices should rule based on their honest views of the constitution or keep political ramifications in the mix? and I agree in the sense that if the bad precedent had remained, the GOP would have won both houses.
