First, I don't think there has been any scientific study or experiment that has linked quantum entanglement with twins getting a funny feeling. Second, that doesn't have anything to do with the issue you brought up, a theoretical copying of human memory and somehow implanting it in a clone (or other) body. My argument was simply that even if that were technologically possible (it currently isn't) it still wouldn't give you immortality; you would simply be creating another person who has your memories. Frankly you might as well have kids.
so aging is a punishment by a God for eating an apple (carbs and fructose) overconsumption of carbs and fructose reduce age... coincidence
I think we need to clear some things up that I obviously didn't get across so far in this thread. They haven't yet declared aging as a disease it's currently defined as a natural process, and that's a bad thing when it comes to the medical treatment of aging. The treatment of aging, should it be classified as a disease, will be on extending the lifespan of the current body, fighting aging itself, not cloning or copying memories to a new body or computer.
Other articles from the same source: This looks like a spiritualist/conspiracy site, not a Physics journal. In any case, this has nothing to do with my argument about your idea of copying human minds. My argument was simply that even if that were technologically possible (it currently isn't) it still wouldn't give you immortality; you would simply be creating another person who has your memories. In other words, not only do you not achieve immortality through this method, you don't even get longevity out of it. Better start exercising.
If a scientist altered their own DNA are his kids being punished because they, their children and their children's children, have extra toes? It's just a consequence of what occurred. Not a punishment.
if the scientist does it to you and your kids have extra toes because he is upset with you, it is a punishment not very God like, heck God did not kick them out until they clothed themselves, he was really angry that he could not watch his playthings play naked anymore - God likes to watch his children play naked it seems
Money talks though. I see no reason why one day some humans cannot live for ever. Much of the human body functions mechanically so can be replicated (bionics). I believe that the rest of the body such as the internal organs will be able to be replaced by lab grown identical organs via stem cells or something similar. Stem cell technology could be used to replace dying brain cells or the brain cells could be altered so that they can replicate just like other body cells replicate There are some animals that live for practically for ever. Research for their secret and that will be another avenue.
Is the child with fetal alcohol syndrome being “punished”? By whom? I’m sorry you feel the life you are living is punishment.
Just for the record, there’s no reason to misrepresent a belief system even if one dislikes it for some reason. According to the writings upon which Christianity and Judaism are based, God himself made them clothes. If he wanted to see them naked why would he do that?
God, as he gifted the child to the alcoholic, why would he do that? That is, if you believe God gifts babies, and they are not just a natural process "I’m sorry you feel the life you are living is punishment." you seem to think that, I do not believe in God - you are not being punished because of an apple, lol
read the book again, after eating the apple, Adam and eve put cloths on, God was upset and kicked them out https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+3:7&version=NKJV " Genesis 3:7 New King James Version 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. " "And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”"
Is a child with fetal alcohol syndrome being punished? Yes or no? If you can answer that question without changing the subject you will be closer to understanding. You introduced the concept of punishment to the thread. Why? Nobody else mentioned life being a punishment, certainly not me. Only you referred to our lives as punishment. I’m sorry anyone would ever entertain the idea at all. There must be some reason you and nobody else sees life as punishment. None of what I’ve asked you has anything to do with whether or not one believes in God. It’s just reading comprehension and logic. Logic is a powerful tool we all possess whether we feel we are being punished or not.
No your insurance will not cover it. A cure for aging would literally be the most valuable thing in existence. Even if the cure is cheap and easy to produce, it will be controlled by any means necessary to prevent the common rabble from getting it. Many people would do anything do avoid death. Giving it to them for free is too much of an opportunity loss for the greedy to tolerate. They will hole it away and trade it only for the most horrific and diabolical of favors.
seems you were wrong seems many Christians have not bothered to read their bible cover to cover don't feel bad, I was one of those Christians, it was not until I was losing faith that I actually read it cover to cover thinking it would restore my faith... don't ever do that if you want to keep believing the myth
well, if it's cheap and needs to be taken repeatedly, if the rich want a slave race, they will give it to the slaves, no retirement until one dies
I’m not wrong. You didn’t keep reading. What I posted is true. According to the source you provided God did in fact make clothes for them. Here, from your source. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis 3&version=NET Genesis 3:20. Now, I’ll ask again. If God just wanted to see them naked, why did he make clothes for them and clothe them? If he wanted them naked, and had the power to remove them from the garden, why didn’t he take their leaf coverings away instead of making them better clothes? Let’s not worry about “cover to cover” until we can read at least an entire chapter!
what I posted was verse 7, yours was 20, 21, which comes after 7, thus after the apple eaten - see how that works - they were naked when they ate the apple "7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings." ... "20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living." "21 Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them."
