Posts like this have aged VERY poorly on this forum. Fortunately for you there is zero chance you will have to face any of these weapons...or any weapons of any sort.

These "Reichsbürger" have the absurd theory, that the Federal Republic of Germany does not exist.
    Enough said.
They are just too stupid for words.
But they are not only stupid, but very fanatical and aggressive and dangerous as well. Mentally unstable.

Some seem to think that Germany is "occupied" by the US, because US-Soldiers are stationed here.
As far as I know, German soldiers are also stationed in the US and in France and in Poland and in Estonia and even in the UK.
That is the way the NATO works.

So one could also claim that all those countries are "German-occupied". :)
    What nonsense! :)

Some of the same people who believe such things also think Hitler was a 'nice man', Jews forced Germany into WW2 & the holocaust didn't happen. Some of them have even expressed such opinions on this forum. You can't expect such people to make sense on any topic.

Such people form about 0,01 percent of the German population.
But because they speak in a loud and aggressive voice they make themselves heard.

It is the same everywhere. Loud voices get more attention than their message often deserves.

Sobo was pretty much a die hard far-right AfD guy who used to post here pretending he were some kind of official spokesman for the German people when in reality he merely voiced his opinion and made more than one absurdly idiotic claim. But of course those people very often try to create some kind of 'this is public opinion and not just me' narrative. Utter bollocks.
And for those dumb enough to consider a hand full of opinions voiced on an online forum being 'representative', get a reality check.
Here are a few numbers re NATO acceptance in Germany.

    Btw:

For some time Belgian and Canadian NATO-troops were also stationed in Germany.
Maybe a few of them are still here.

So people like that @Sobo and his friends may claim that Germany is "occupied" by Belgium and Canada. :)

The frosting on the cake is that German made tanks are coming from Poland, Slovakia, Spain, and other good countries in addition to U.K. built tanks. This on top of armored fighting vehicles such as Bradley’s and Strikers and a French whose name escapes me at this second. Ukraine like other European countries have a history of not only German tanks rolling through Ukraine and causing brutal atrocities but Soviet Russians doing everything they could to match German barbarism. One can say that any materials Germany gives Ukraine is a sort of a “reparations” for WWII.

Sobo did not represent Germany. He was a proud racist Nazi. And clearly a little stupid. He gave away so many personal details that I was able to put together these details and pin point the police station that he worked at. He also said that he lied to get a colleague at that station sacked. He boasted about beating up and hounding any foreigners out of his village and he claimed to be a police officer. Little doubt that he worked at that station, probably a cleaner or office boy, highly unlikely a police officer

On a lighter note, I remember he got upset when I said that he looked Kurdish - it was the blue eyes

As for the OP, this war is being fought with Russia using WW2 tactics of carpet bombing civilian targets, tanks will be useless and sitting ducks. Russia has tens of thousands of missiles. Even if Russia completely withdrew out of Ukraine these missiles will still be fired over. How many times are we going to hear about a new weapon sent to Ukraine being a game changer

This war needs to end one way or another or many thousands more on both sides are going to die and cities in Ukraine completely flattened

I'm afraid that we've lost @Sobo . I always enjoyed his posts here, and frequently agreed with many points he made. I always thought of him as being a 20-something German intellectual, an "angry young man" who is an 'iconoclast' (Ikonoklast, oder, der Bilderstürmer).

Unfortunately, he was a bit too reactive and 'combustible'. He was banned several times, and I think, overall, he became a bit impatient and finally just got fed up with 'the bullshit'....

He certainly was not worried to say what he thought however controversial and I would not be surprised if he was sentenced and locked up somewhere in a prison

Because my government has provoked this war by avoiding all efforts at diplomacy, and because of my government's long record of military aggression around the globe, YES I'm rooting for the Russian forces. Those of us with an understanding of what's been going on in Ukraine for the last 10 years or more recognize that Russia most certainly has the high moral ground in this conflict.

The US & NATO are committing military aggression in this proxy war. My guess is that Karma will be hell to pay for the west.

Actually, you might be right about Sobo. I gathered from his comments that he may have been a member of the German political party known as "AfD" (Alles für Deutschland), which is often referred to by Germany's far-Left media as being "right-wing extremist" in nature.

Ever since it began to rise in prominence several years ago, the AfD has drawn condemnation and repression from Germany's other major political parties which are nearly all WAY Left-of-center by American standards....

I would hate to think of Sobo as having been rounded-up by the German Federal intelligence and Security Service (Bundesamt für den Verfassungsschutz -- "BfV"), and would rather imagine him in some lovely little village out in the hills southeast of Dresden, drinking beer with the "good old boys" at a stammtisch in a centuries-old kneipe, far from the hyperliberal miseries of Berlin....

    What about it?

It seems to me that Russia is having its way with Ukraine, but I don't watch the western media.

If the Abrams and Leopards get off the rail cars, 40 more tanks will change nothing in the big picture and will be rolling cannon fodder for gunships. The Russians will lose some gunships, but that's war.

The tanks are a vital part of pushing offensives, and Russia's missiles don't play much of a role in that aspect of the conflict. They use them to flatten civilian infrastructure, as you've pointed out, but they aren't so good for destroying tanks. Ukraine's tanks are not sitting ducks as long as they are combined with other systems that provide cover for them.

There is no diplomacy with Russia. Everyone was pleading with them not to invade, but in they went. Since then, they have shown no willingness to negotiate on any terms but their own, which means they have no intention of negotiating at all, but rather intend to take what they want militarily.

This is why the only solution left to Ukraine at the moment is military success. Putler will not listen to anything else any more than his Austrian predecessor was willing to do 80 years ago.

    Just a short note:

AfD stands for: "Alternative für Deutschland" - not for "alles für Deutschland".
Maybe you mixed that up with "Deutschland über alles" - which is NOT our national anthem - as some still think.
Our anthem is: "Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit = Unity and Justice (Right) and Freedom!" :)
