This isn't a small little "oopsie" and you'd think that there would be a mass scramble to figure this out ASAP. I'm surely they are not focusing their attention of the "white supremacist" who rammed into the White House and sending a ton of resources to find this very deadly lost chemicals.

I truly hope that these chemicals are found soon!

How do you 'lose' 60,000 pounds of anything?

Did it not get loaded to begin with, did the train make stops along the way? If it was leaking out, then traces of it will be found along the railway.

Do you think the government owns and controls the railroads?

Do you think the railroads aren't regulated by federal, state, and local government?

So are the roads. Is it the government's fault when someone wrecks their car?

In fact, the government has more authority over roads than they do the railroads.

Secretary Pete Buttigieg of the Department of Transportation, i.e., “Mayor Pete” from the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries, is the present “Secretary of Failure.” Buttigieg’s feeble leadership crashes the department responsible for coordinating effective federal transportation.

    Great nickname. Secretary of Failure.

Depends on why the wreck happened

Analogy is fairly flawed. This isn't a car wreck we are speaking of. This is a highly explosive and lethal chemical that could do some major damage.

So do you know what happened here, or do you just blame the government from a place of ignorance?

    LOL. Good one.

"Despite fewer miles being traveled, the rate of derailments has increased in five of the last seven years. The derailment rate among the seven Class I railroads is also higher than it was a decade ago"

    Secretary of Failure strikes again.

That doesn't change whether or not it's the government's fault.

Yes, the years of Trump deregulation made the railroads less safe, but train derailments are near all time lows.

The $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill that he had proposed and was rejected by congress that had over $100 billion to railway improvements. Can't blame Trump on this one when Democrats kept rejecting his infrastructure bills.

Blame trump as easily as the other poster does to blame Buttigeg.

IE, a little tit for tat to show, that blaming a single person is pointless.
    Glad you caught that.

So you don't think railroads are regulated by our government?
