911 call from Lauren Boebert's home followed incident involving Congresswoman's husband and son

Didn't Lauren file for divorce from her husband?

I think this audio was somewhat before the time of that filing. However, when it comes to CPS, the last thing they need to do or want is to take the child away. Yes, it is concerning, but the child also called back and said that it was not true, which limits what CPS can do. Second, domestic abuse, even with a child, is not a top priority in law enforcement if a 911 call was used. It is possible a police officer went there to investigate and probably heard the same thing, gave a warning, and then left. And it is also possible the young boy did something he was not supposed to, got into trouble, probably got his butt whipped, and then called 911 as retaliation. So, we don't know the full story yet, just one audio tape that was released via the open records act.

 

From the recorded call: "He didn't really get physically with me."

The above seemed to come at the end of his recorded complaint and not in a subsequent correction.
There is just not enough there to justify any further action by the police other than perhaps a home visit and a face to face interview.

And I would bet you a paycheck they are not loaded.

And I would bet you another paycheck that they have already began to teach that child gun safety probably 4 years earlier than that.

I grew up in a household full of guns and somehow I managed to survive...

Oh the humanity!

 

American children have routinely been alone in rooms with guns for over two centuries now. Most eight year olds in rural areas have probably already been trained to use a gun and used one to hunt. Come home with a rabbit or the right bird -- get a pat on the head.

Focusing on the Boebert's guns is just free campaign ad for her.
The domestic problems may be put a nick in her local support, but divorce and other family problems are too common now to matter all that much.

I scanned a few articles about the incident. This is actually an old story -- several months old. The police have investigated. No charges filed.

This incident occurred on December 11, 2022. It is not "news"

I'm sure that anyone with a vivid imagination and an irrational fear of weapons can create from the image whatever they want.

But it's super scary ....... that's all I know

 

I was saying (without regard to your children) that I have a better way of raising children than beating them. Which, IMHO, produces kinder, more patient, empathetic, happier and responsible adults than beatings ever can.
