The former president wants to “immediately” purge the Justice Department’s ranks of the officials and agents who’ve led the criminal probes into his actions.

Donald Trump just needs a few names.

In recent months, the former president has asked close advisers, including at least one of his personal attorneys, if “we know” all the names of senior FBI agents and Justice Department personnel who have worked on the federal probes into him. That’s according to two sources with direct knowledge of the matter and another person briefed on it.

Trump has then privately discussed that should he return to the White House, it is imperative his new Department of Justice “quickly” and “immediately” purge the FBI and DOJ’s ranks of these officials and agents who’ve led the Trump-related criminal investigations, the sources recount. The ex-president has of course dubbed all such probes as illegitimate “witch hunts,” and is now campaigning for the White House on a platform of “retribution” and cleaning house.

If by some misfortune Trump becomes POTUS again, you can kiss the rule of law goodbye.

This fascist will turn the country into an authoritarian regime in less than a year.

It will be the equivalent of giving the keys to the WH to a mafia godfather.

    Thoughts ?

Dumbass should get off of the Q web and do a simple Google search.... Found this article a month ago

    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/law...ounsel-jack-smith-trump-jan/story?id=98893019

I wonder if he knows he doesn't have the power to "immediately" legally do anything? Is he STILL POTUS in his own cavernous head?

Wow, what a lineup behind Smith.
Trump's legal team obviously gives them some comic relief.

Who can blame him? Trump had treasonous people trying to stage a coup against him, then they rigged an election where a child sniffing, woman groping racist who didn’t campaign got the most votes in history. That’s the kind of stuff we see in banana republics and kudos to Trump if he wants to rid our government of it.

In Banana Republics, we also see leaders who use their power for retribution and personal gain.

You can't complain about banana republic actions then demand same.

    You'll need to pick one.

Getting rid of corruption is not banana republic-ish, it’s exactly what Biden paid Ukraine $1 billion to do…or so they say.

If there are corrupt people in government, then you’d agree they should be fired, right?

You just don't see enough Al Bundy quotes on PF.com....

Frankly, is there one among us who couldn't see the mental image of Trump sitting on a couch with his hand partially down his pants? With his partially hot wife, really hot daughter, and insipidly stupid son around him?

    Sure. Have you found any?

Durham tried. Barr tried. Comer tried. They had every weapon of the government at their disposal, being how Trump had weaponized the justice system in a way never seen before in US history.

They all found absolutely nothing. I hope nobody embarrasses themselves by pretending otherwise. So where's this corruption?

Oh, that's right. This is Trump. He thinks he can just wave his hand and send his political opponents to the Gulag.

Most criminals claim that law enforcement is corrupt. Trump isn't doing anything new there.

When you do it by exercising powers you don't have? Yes, that's exactly what it is.

At least in Ukraine the person who received the bribe actually had the power to do what he did under the laws of the nation he was officer of.
That is not the case here.

Yes I do, in fact I'd go farther and say corruption in public office or post should be charged as sedition or treason and the guilty hung by the neck until dead.
There is still a process to go through, and simply handing the executive a bunch of powers by a forceful expansion outside Art V is a recipe for ****ing disaster.
You're not thinking it through, because you're focused on ****ING the other guy rather than removing corruption and not CAUSING MORE WHILE YOU'RE AT IT.

Too much physical effort required..... like document declassification, he only has to THINK his opponents to prison.... where they all reside today (in his mind)...

They found the Clinton plan which Obama knew about. There was the bogus 51 intelligence people letter about the laptop. There was Crossfire Hurricane and the insurance policy. Government employees conspired to prevent Trump winning in 2016, they tried to get him out for the next four years, and then continued to conspire to rig an election in 2020.

Trump was the POTUS in Nov 2020. All this happened under his watch. If you want to blame America’s decline then look no further then the guy who was in charge of the country.

Nothing more nefarious than a secret group of prosecutors who are all named on a link from abcnews.com.

But he is correct in that they are targeting the instigator of 1/6 and the guy who stole all those government documents...

The USG has always been a corrupt swamp. Trump was elected to drain it.
    He failed.

Are the people investigating Biden’s family making up false allegations, conspiring with Obama, Clinton and the intelligence agencies to go full blown Russia Russia Russia or have an insurance policy at hand in case an election doesn’t go his way? How many people from the intelligence community have come out and verified the laptop?

The 2020 election was abnormal, due to the circumstances of the coronavirus, a media bias against Trump that honestly was unlike anything we'd ever seen before(the Trump foreign policy for example, won several key peace initiatives in the middle east. Who would've thought Saudi Arabia would be closely aligned to Israel? the Trump team made that happen.)

But it was also Trump's own failure of a campaign, to not highlight his successes more. He allowed the media to shape the narrative of his administration.

I think you have your ME countries mixed up.... Saudi Arabia isn't a signatory to the so-called "Abraham Accords"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Accords

As with all things Trump, you need to look at everything from the standpoint of "How was this good for Trump, or his family, financially"?

But those efforts were one of the few positive outcomes of that mostly failed administration.
