Trump regretted not declassifying retained military document in recording

Really suggests is the wrong word, pretty sure they outright accuse him of trying to hide what he had and asked others to help him do it.

As the president, he was allowed to have the documents. It's not difficult to understand. Also, why do you think he was going through all those boxes if not to pull out his stuff and return the rest?

That, for me, is the big question. I'm disappointed in all the Republicans jumping to Trump's defense and ignoring this fact.

 

The lawyer made the claim thinking they gave it back but didn't know there were boxes missing.

He had no right to keep the documents. It was HIS obligation to make sure he didn’t take them.

And then he had 18 months to correct the error. But didn’t. He actively tried to hide some documents. You don’t have a problem with that?
