So, he's saying he is going to defy the protection order.

Okay, that will or could easily result in a gag order.

If he violates that, he could be held in jail for contempt of court pending trial.

He's literally playing chicken with a federal judge.

Trump thinks his threats which everyone knows will rile up his base to possibly commit violence, like they did on 1/6, that this will make the judge blink.

    I doubt it.

Trump, doesn't have a constitutional right to violate a judge's protection order or gag order. Such speech is NOT protected by the first amendment. The orders are in place to protect the integrity of the case, the trial, the witnesses, etc.

See, Trump is trying to litigate the case in the court of public opinion, and, in so doing, he doesn't realize the power of the court.

He's going to find out, methinks, very soon.

Orange man bad may just be wearing matching attire very soon,

    Pass the popcorn.

Trump on possible court-ordered limits: ‘They’re not taking away my First Amendment rights’

The former president campaigned in New Hampshire and called the latest charges against him “bullshit,” saying, “I will talk about it.”

Former President Donald Trump could soon be strapped with an order limiting him in speaking publicly about the federal charges he is facing. But that won’t stop him from using his legal woes to galvanize voters on the campaign trail.

“I will talk about it, I will, they’re not taking away my First Amendment rights,” Trump said on Tuesday about his latest federal indictment, riling up a crowd at a campaign stop in Windham, N.H.

If they incarcerate Trump without.a guilty verdict, welp, like I said get used to EU/Brazilian style of living. Constant chaos, difficulty in getting a governing coalition, growing dissatisfaction with the government.

No one should want to emulate the rest of the world in its governing procedures. We've avoided global conflict(except helping these aforementioned actors) precisely because we don't copy them.

    they will adjust.

Justice cannot be subject to politics or popularity contests.

Justice might cause factional issues, but they will fade, as justice is what is right, and will always prevail and sort out chaos.

Trump will be treated like anyone else.

If he continues to exhibit contempt of court, he will be treated the same as anyone else would have been treated.

In fact, most who would do precisely as trump has done, would already have a gag order and be incarcerated.

Trump is, in point of fact, being treated far better than most.

You cannot conflate American justice with nations that arbitrarily incarcerate people.

Why? Because America doesn't (or is not supposed to) apply punishment without due process and just cause.

Contempt of court is a just cause.

Without the threat of incarceration, there would be no way to control Trump's behaviour which is, in essence, poisoning the process.

It is unlikely that he will ever spend a day in jail. As a former president, the problems presented to the Secret Service would be nearly impossible to solve.

So violating a judges order isn't enough for you?

Oh please, what, we can send astronauts to the moon, we can invent a computer chip with a billion transistors, and we can't solve an administrative problem?

    Give me a break.

    Anyway,

I got a solution, simple. Congress puts forth a bill, for one of the federal prisons to build a special wing for exec branch criminals, complete with SS quarters for those who are assigned SS.

    end of argument.

I was thinking the same thing. I think he'll get a stern warning on Friday. After all, this would complicate tremendously his Secret Service protection But if he persists... I don't see how the judge would have any other choice. Because, yeah... he IS that stupid. She would probably need to have him detained at his home in deference to his Secret Service detail.. Which I think would mean an ankle bracelet.

Then the solution would be to withdraw protection. If he wants to break the law, let him suffer the consequences.

Trump is under secret service protection... he is not going to jail...
When is Jack Smith going to jail? His team has leaked information from this hoax indictment...

I agree whole heartedly now if you just stop supporting The people doing it. the notion that Jack can leak what ever prejudicial stuff he wants but Trump isn't allowed to respond is absurd.

An Ex President in with thousands of hardened criminals is not an administrative problem.

Trump won’t see any jail time. But could you imagine how much the Trumper’s would lose their minds if he were sent to prison? Christ, look at how butt hurt they got over Bud light and the Snow White movie. They are the definition of snowflakes.

It also puts the US at jeopardy because he has knowledge of information that we do not want our enemies to know.

In addition, it is the government's obligation to protect him while serving a sentence just like any other prisoner.

Don’t they have solitary confinement for very high risk prisoners?

Zero chance Trump goes to jail even if convicted of serious crimes. He is too powerful. If he gets off Scott free then there is no incentive for good behavior when bad behavior goes unpunished. If he goes to prison he becomes a martyr and society will face the wrath of his supporters.

He will get a fine that is akin to a slap on the wrist and then find a way to monetize his supporters outrage who will gladly contribute to his fine fund.

    nope..

the judge will give warning friday..

then trump posts more insane messages on social media over the weekend

monday morning the judge issues contempt of court charge

then a warrant is issued and trump will be once again before the judge

    personally..

I believe trump should be incarcerated to protect him from himself..

trump seems to have a death wish

It would also be solitary confinement with several secret service carrying weapons.

The judge doesn't have grounds for a gag order. She isn't above the law, nor is she a queen.
