FYI: Reardan Metal is fictitious, but the lessens of humanity are not. The Reardon metal was a unique material in demand that challenged the other inferior metals in use.
The moral of the story is, when a man stands up to tyranny, he must be squashed.
Trump stood up to the deep state, fought off two impeachments that went nowhere, and the DoJ's own deep state, and the Clinton's Russia hoax, and a media that allowed a mentally compromised, career grifter and influence peddler known as Joe Biden, and a the same media refusing to speak of the Hunter laptop, then allowed Trumps challenger to hide from the public, and win during a Black Swan event.
At some point we either stop the persecution, or America accepts that the constitution as failed and we have nothing left but state power - which, BTW, the left is saying anyway. They want to use state power to take over now, just as the Bolsheviks took over Russia.
As the Chinese say: "May you live in interesting times."

Is it "bogus" that Trump had documents he shouldn't have and lied about turning them in?
Is it "bogus" that asked for Georgia to find more votes?
Is it "bogus" that he lied about the election results to the detriment of many people?

NO one should be immune from legal consequences if they broke the law. The former president will be judged by a jury of American citizens, not the Democratic Party, not the Justice Department, or the media. He will have his own lawyers, and present his own evidence; surely he will have the opportunity to prove his innocence. Four juries of American citizens will listen and will decide if he is guilty or is innocent. That is our justice system.

Oh look! Another "Trump is victim" thread. Yea! He needs to raise more money and this is the quickest way for him to scam it ...

I've always heard that Atlas Shrugged makes people think and behave stupidly, while they somehow believe they're adhering to a philosophical ideal. Thanks for the example of just that. This was quite the comical piece. It would be worthy of the Onion, if it wasn't so pathetically serious.

So, when are you going to accept that most of this has to do with Trump's own actions and nothing else? Or will you blame everyone and anyone has Donald J Trump has?

It is an interesting book, but it is fiction in a dystopian world. People trying to apply Atlas Shrugged into real life, or the Book 1984, are the very same people who think Transformers actually do exist and there is a Transformer named Megatron and Optimus Prime. Whether they admitted that publicly is a completely different matter.

There is ZERO evidence for that, and the grifter-in-chief is Trump.
Trump is a tyrant, he has been persecuting people his entire life.

Fake university, cheated thousands out of millions
    Fake charity, embezzling funds
Bankrupts 6 times, screws investors out of millions
Sued over 100 times for stiffing contractors.
Sued by NY state for 'discrimination'
Tried to use eminent domain to screw a widow from her home in order to build a limo garage.

Tried to plot a bloodless coup, for which he has now been indicted.

He's put America through four years of pure hell, trolling the opposition daily, lying to the teeth on everything, abusing the power, violating his oath of office, talking down to people, extolling the virtues of dictators while impugning the integrity of our institutions and our institution's executives, virtually defecating on the office of the presidency -- lowering to a petty level, lowering America in the eyes of the world, being a joke among world leaders, engaging in tit for tats, hiring and firing more people than any president in history, keeping the bad and getting rid of the good, destroying the separation of powers --- using the DOJ as his private legal firm, pardoning war criminals, he vetoed the bipartisan National Defense Authorization Act, put millions in limbo by threatening to veto coronavirus relief, his jarring fights with reporters during coronavirus briefings alienated rather than united us, his reluctance to embrace masks cost lives, he failed to distribute more than half the available doses of vaccine, he discussed imposing martial law at an Oval Office meeting, he emasculated the world wide infrastructure pandemic response team and destroyed the accompanying report on how to implement it, He said the Soviet Union was right to invade Afghanistan and congratulated China on the 70th anniversary of the Communist takeover, he used his emergency authority to circumvent Congress on the border wall, he asked the president of Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden and Joe Biden in order to help his reelection campaign, invited the Taliban to Camp David, he gave Turkey a green light to invade Syria and attack our Kurdish allies, he committed clear acts of crime, a number of acts which amount to election fraud, accusing democrats of the very thing he is guilty of, and all the while playing the victim, when, in truth America is the victim, OF HIM, and I could go on, I mean, I've only scratched the surface, but, why bother?

Republicans don't give a damn about any of this, as long as Trump hates who they hate. That's why they like him, he panders to their biases and bigotry.

He is the most criminal, corrupt, despicable president in history, and belongs behind bars. Most of his associates are convicted, as well, or will be, soon.

Even if all of these allegations are completely and 110% accurate, which I somehow doubt, that doesn't explain why he had been so... Abused... By the political system, the press, his opposition, even those who should be on his team, called a racist, labeled all sorts of evil, nasty things, including the completely discredited Russia, Russia, Russia bullshit, during the preceding 5-6 years from the very moment he came down that escalator at Trump Tower to announce his candidacy. I thought then, all the way up till the election, and to this day that it was a publicity stunt and he had no desire or expectations that he would win, but when he did, it turned into one of those 'Be careful what you ask for' types of things. He's not my favorite choice for POTUS, then or now, and having done business with him and his company when I lived in NYC, and gone up and down that escalator many, many times, I met him on a number of occasions, and he is an a$$hole! But, that doesn't make him any different from any other rich NYC playboy who thinks their own turds don't smell. It also doesn't, by itself, disqualify him from being POTUS despite my own personal reservations. He was certainly a better choice than HRC, and Biden, and he did a magnificant job putting originalists on the USSC, which was one of my key issues. But I do not understand the intense hatred and vile that came after him from the word go...

If you want to complain about the things you listed, fine... But those happened leading into or even after the 2020 election cycle, and thus do not have a thing to do with the initial wave of hatred that has flummoxed me for so long.

I am not a fan of Donald Trump, but this is very wrong and is beginning to make me very angry. The democrats will regret this because all they are doing is galvanizing support for Trump.

You are right. The average person in the USA can see how Trump tried to "drain the swamp" and now the swamp is throwing the book at him. The evidence that people don't like the way Trump is being treated is Trump's poll numbers keep going up. I plan to vote for DeSantis in the primary election, but if Trump is on the ballot in the general election, he will get my vote. My vote for Trump will be a protest against a corrupt, crooked, out-of-control government.

Can you show some of these polls?

To me it looks like he has a lower favorability now than he did when he lost the last election.

Problem 1 for the prosecution: Everyone knows that elections in GA are not free and fair -- especially Democrats.

Given the thread title it sounds like you are trying to give those as justifications for persecution. (just sayin)

Trump was all about America first which is why the Privileged Class and minions want to end his political ambitions.

How does the Trump defend the call to the Georgia Atty General asking him to find more votes?
How does he explain the fake electors?
How does he explain blaming two poll workers for cheating when an investigation found them innocent?
How does he explain all the lawsuits his campaign brought about the election all of which his campaign lost?

When supporters begin to address facts not the procedures I will put more credence in their arguments.

Donald Trump will have every opportunity to rebut the arguments in court in front of a jury of US citizens. That is the same process we have used since the Constitution was written.

By Tom Howell Jr. - The Washington Times - Tuesday, August 15, 2023
Former President Donald Trump maintains a 40-point lead in the New Hampshire GOP primary, according to a poll released Tuesday that shows Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ceding second place to former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
The Emerson College Polling Survey said nearly half, or 49%, of Republican primary voters plan to support Mr. Trump for the 2024 nomination compared to 9% for Mr. Christie and 8% for Mr. DeSantis.
The poll underscores Mr. Trump’s grip on the primary despite facing a string of criminal charges in multiple courts. A grand jury in Georgia handed up a fourth indictment against him after the survey was conducted.
    ---

People are against the weaponizing of the government to go after Trump.

A huge +1 to that statement. The Democrats are acting like a bunch of very spoiled, very rich children who are looking to establish a political dictatorship using public funds and the judicial system.

I think that Trump is a dangerous man. Under normal circumstances I would be strongly opposed to his candidacy and will never vote for him in the primaries. Still the Democrats, as a party, are more dangerous than Trump.
