I'm sure the people that have no love at all for them appreciate their convenient usefulness.

They don't seem to understand that they will not be spared. It must be a confusing state of existence to hate yourself for something that you've never done.

When studies suggest that liberalism fosters mental illness I believe there is certainly some validity to that.

Hating yourself for something you've never done is absolutely insane.

That's a pretty narrow list to judge all white men by.

You might have a point Golem....IF Gavin Newsom himself hadn't said he was going to pick a black woman before Feinsteins body was even cold and buried. Gavin Newsom is the one that made it about race. Not anyone on the Right. Your attempt to ignore that fact is why you're failing.

But is there a law that makes it illegal to exclude people of certain races (and sex, for that matter)? Golem claims he has done extensive research over a long period of time and for the life of him, he just can't find anything. It's really quite sad. All this time spent on civil rights, and it's as if it never happened for some. No consciousness or recollection of it.

Not just Fox News. Gavin was bragging that she is the first black lesbian in the senate.

The law says you cant discriminate against any sex or any race. But in practice we know thats not the case.

Following the mass riots and protests ignited by George Floyd’s death, numerous companies made pledges to increase the hiring and advancement of individuals from non-White backgrounds, particularly Black people. Recent analysis by media outlet Bloomberg reveals that in the year 2021 following these riots and protests, the largest publicly traded companies in the U.S. added more than 300,000 jobs, with a striking 94% of them going to people of color.
BLM movement causes marginalization of U.S. white workforce: data (tvpworld.com)

    Its CRT applied as policy

"The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.” Kendi

Are you claiming that she is the MOST qualified outside of the diversity hire?

Trudeau is a good example too. He is a straight white male, whose father was a prime minister before him, grew up with wealth, good looks, and pretty much every other privilege. He has been in power for 2 terms and is on his third and thinking about his fourth. Despite him polling poorly lately, he will not step down to make way for a woman of colour to be his party's nominee. Yet he picks his cabinets based on race and gender. I think that speaks volumes.

If you believed that, then you wouldn't hire based off of identity.

There is no such thing as race. He is making it about giving minorities proper representation in government.. Which, outside the world of the Fox racist echo-chamber, is still considered a good thing. I wholeheartedly applaud Newsome for it. This is what real human beings who believe in a representative democracy do!

Yes, I heard on the radio that Newsom was proud that he had appointed the first member open member of the LGBQ community to the Senate. There have been gay members there before, but they were "in the closet."

It’s not utter nonsense. I realize you disagree and you have that right to disagree. You’re a very intelligent individual. That’s why I am sure you know that he did obviously discriminate based on race. Claiming you will pick a certain race is discriminatory against all other races. It is illegal by federal law (civil rights act 1964) to discriminate based on race while hiring someone.

The reason I keep asking you and others to quote this "law" is not a "gotcha!" trap. If you quote it, you'll understand why it doesn't apply in these cases.

It's only a very tiny minority of people, mostly those who get all their news from the right wingnut echo-chamber, who believe this narrative. I've seen in real life that less people than I thought actually believe the crap they push trying to erase the fact we have understood for... forever... that "racism" refers to any form of oppression against minorities. Since white people, especially white Christians, especially white Christian males.... are NOT a minority in our country. Therefore you know it's a silly narrative when somebody talks about 'racism" against white people. But it's the media and the pundits I mentioned that start this narrative. Then it carries into twitter, Facebook and forums like this one.

I believe that the qualifications requiring a certain sex and gender are a progressive mantra that occurs outside of this story. But I noticed your pivot because you have nothing to much to say.

Laphonza Butler has since scrubbed her social media, her former employer's website, and other media pages referencing the fact that she lives in Maryland. But, thanks to the internet, we have the cached website pages before they were scrubbed.

She lives in Maryland and is registered to vote in Maryland....

I don't care if you believe that there's race or not. Millions of other people, including Gavin Newsom do. And no, he made it about race. If it was about "giving minorities proper representation in government" then he could have just as easily made the choice to include someone of another skin tone, yellow for instance (who is less represented in the Congress than black people). And he sure as hell wouldn't have announced the skin color before Feinstein was even buried. But no, he specifically said he was going to pick a black woman. He's pandering. He doesn't give a crap about representation. He only cares about garnering votes.

But we know that you will never admit this. No leftist will.

I just researched the law and it oddly does exempt the government from the employment racial discrimination section. So I suppose you are right it doesn’t apply. But to be fair I thought of this on my own. I was not an echo chamber argument. The only social media I am actively present in is this forum and some twitter but very little. So this was my mistake. However this doesn’t mean it wasn’t discriminatory in nature to exclude people based on race.

Here's what's wrong with white Male Democrats..Most were born after, say, 1970. They were raised by single, feminist mothers, with no father in the picture. Their mothers raised them to be "gentlemen" and to foster their "feminine side", to show their emotions, to cry a lot. But mothers can't teach a boy to be a man. Essentially they've been neutered.

And furthermore, these same feminist mothers raised their girls to be strong, I independent women. When their boys marry, they marry feminist young women, who tell them what to do, just like Mom, because that's what they're used to.

Also, our congressmen are scared to death of the congresswomen.
