I mean they showed you the how and the why in their ruling.

States have been given broad authority to regulate their elections, it’s why republicans have been able to close voting locations to impact people that don’t vote for them or implement massive gerrymandering to crowd out voters they don’t like. Items the USSC have ruled they are fine with.

Did you really think only your team would be able to take advantage?

Gee, so they shouldn’t have hung John Brown after he tried to seize the arsenal at Harpers Ferry because he failed.

I was also against those and hoped all that were involved were charged. They got a few of them but not enough.

So are you arguing that since someone else got away with something that the law should no longer apply? Or is this the typical but but but whataboutism?

Other states have already looked at it and knew this was idiocy which is why they refused to touch it.

But you adore a dictatorship telling you who you can and can't vote for
    Priceless

The ignorance of people saying he obviously supported an insurrection are dangerous to this nation.

That is the Republican Party’s stance on gerrymandering

    Sucks don’t it?

The difference is one moves elections.

This isn't about charging a crime. And, yes, this is how the 14th Amendment has worked as long as it has existed. Maybe try out one of those con law classes. There you will learn that the 14th Amendment has been repeatedly exercised against people who haven't been convicted. Hell, I'm not sure it has ever been used against anyone who HAS been convicted. Read. Learn.

Can you tell us what he meant by if you don’t fight you are going to lose your nation after urging his magatroopers to march to the Capitol after saying the vice president wasn’t going to due his duty?

I look forward to this question not being answered again.

with due respect....that is twisted reality. The border can be dealt with, if they all can get their act together and come up with a REALISTIC plan. Trump is not the answer.....as he is too extreme. (and fanatical)
It is concerning that some can actually BELEIVE that Donald is innocent and the victim ( as he makes himself out to be) . What does he have to do before people see him for what he is?? Or is HE and his fascist lite attitude and behavior that acceptable to them?? If so, then they are being primed for a more definitive authoritarian leadership.
Democracy can be fragile at best.......and it would not take much to manipulate a few things into a less democratic system.

One can only hope that the massive legal fees that DJ is paying will not be paid by his supporters. That would make them suckers to the nth

    degree.

For someone who disparages the legal system.... DJT has no problem using every aspect of it for his own benefit.

You mean the same John Brown who stood trial for treason against the commonwealth of Virginia and convicted?
Or do you prefer just hanging anyone you deem an insurrectionist?

Absolutely stupid decision. Unequivocally unabashedly stupid. And I say that as someone who loathes Trump.

I'm not the one saying so. That's your position.

I'm glad you changed your mind! I'll pop that champagne cork now.

So you believe in due process while at the same time you think 4 Democrat judges can determine the guilt of Trump without a trial.
Thats sounds about right for your average response.

So courts can decide that you are an insurrectionist...

    upload_2023-12-20_18-21-4.png

...without charging you with a crime.

FYI it wasn't a jury trial, hence the judges rule, that is how it works. !!!!

Frankly, his plan had much less chance of success than the Trump plan...

Brown thought the local slaves were going to revolt with word that 22 men had taken an armory. He was proven a tad optimistic....

Maybe if he had Twitter to get the word out??

    @RealJohnBrown

BS, the ignorance of those who can't accept the reality and turned to violence instigated by Trump is the worst. A US history book can explain better.

Since he has neither been charged nor found guilty of anything remotely close to "insurrection"..... Some judges opinion is completely invalid.

Because you know what they say about opinions.... Everyone has one and they all stink just like a butthole

Oh, he was nuttier than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide, but at least his aims were admirable, unlike Trump. Speaking of which, I need to watch that move where Ethan Hawke plays him. Dude has the right kind of crazy eyes.

Nope, never has worked that way. Ever.
Maybe you should read the constitution instead of cherry picking words you like
Which is why other states refused this idiocy coming from the 4 Democrat judges. And of the 7, 3 knew it was stupid.

The Fifth Amendment says to the federal government that no one shall be "deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law.
    No judge can convict ANYONE.

. . . yes. No one else can. Not when it comes to the law. All anyone else can do is have a private opinion.

He said march and fight for the country. Again, isn't everyone entitled to due process? Has there been due process?

Or has Putin spoken and Trump should be disallowed to participate in the next election?
