Jefferson Davis was banished. The insurrection of 1860 became a full blown Civil War. In the wisdom of both Lincoln and Grant there was a desire to "reconcile" if they laid down their arms. Reconciliation was agreed upon for the sake of the Union. Took time but we are reconciled.

Why should Trump have done anything? Pelosi had the power to install National Guard and Trump had made that clear. It was her baby! I have seen some of the released footage of Jan. 6th the Democrats and lapdog Liz didn't want us to see. I will be waiting to find out why dozens of those now in prison were walking through the Capitol peacefully with Capitol Police on both sides of the hall. It looks like an escorted tour. They were looking all around as if they were tourists with absolutely no urgency of an insurrection. A lot more will come out!

The Revolutionary Army was fortunate to have leadership and many troops seasoned with experience from fighting in the French and Indian war.
What ever are you talking about now?

That is true. My G_G_G_G Grand dad being one of them. How many seasoned retired military vets do we have now??? Thousands! and most all do not like the Appeaser in Chief.
De emasculating our armed forces from the top down with "woke" ideology". It's why recruiting is down.

Not only is that untrue, it's not possible.

    District of Columbia National Guard
Protecting The Capital and Defending The Nation Since 1802
"The D.C National Guard was formed in 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson to defend the newly created District of Columbia. As such, the Commanding General of the D.C. National Guard is subordinate solely to the President of the United States."
    https://dc.ng.mil/About-Us/
The people prosecuted and serving lengthy sentences for their part in the attack on our Capitol, were violent and destructive, they threatened the lives of Congress and the Vice President. Pictures of insurrectionist walking calmly through Statuary Hall were taken after the violence as the Capitol was being cleared.

No, quite the contrary. I think white settelers would have been better served IF they had befriended the Indians and learned from them.

Trump should be banned from the Republican primaries and caucuses altogether. Perhaps Nikki Haley will be the ultimate choice to go up against Biden and/or Harris in November. There is plenty riding against Desantis, Christie and Ramaswamy.

paybacks are a bitch. and sadly that is what things have come to. Merrick Garland pretty much sucks big time as an AG. Sessions sucked. Barr was OK under Trump very good earlier Ashcroft was good. Carter's second-Benjamin Civilleti was a good one Edwin Meese, not so much. Holder and Lynch were pretty bad as was Reno. Mukasey and Gonzo-average at best

The only thing that's going to "blow this country apart" is the continued support for Trump.

What does that have to do with calling our government “crap”
That’s a bold all encompassing statement. It’s “crap”!

In an hour long speech he has ONE sentence where he talks about demonstrating peacefully. This is after weeks (months) of Trump priming the pump that the election was going to be stolen.

His speech was just lie after lie after lie all designed to whip the crowd into a frenzy.

He refers to Pence seven times saying that Pence "has to do the right thing" even though Trump had been told, repeatedly, that Pence had no authority to do anything in that situation.

Saying bad things about people IS NOT being "prosecuted".

Mueller was an actual example of attempting to "prosecute" someone regardless of guilt or innocence. The Mueller investigation was nothing more than propaganda fabricated by Hillarys lawyer and their contractors Fusion GPS and Crowdstrike. Obstruction of fabricated BS is a good thing.

Barr sucked big time. He is the one who let stand the fabricated fiction of Perkins and Coi and their contactors Fusion GPS and Crowdstrike. The Alpha Bank BS, Trump tower meeting BS, the Steele Dossie BS, Russia hacked the emails and gave them to wikileaks BS and on and on and held no one responsible.

Mueller exonerated Trump on the matters under investigation and then added a second part where he indicated Trump obstructed the investigation.
He obstructed the investigation he ordered by the guy he chose. Part of the checks in our system is public officials, top to bottom, being subject to investigation.

Siring his followers up into a frenzy is one of his special verbal talents. He relies on crowd mentality . ie: "group think" Once folks merge into that group , they can lose site of objectivity of the man.

Garland dragged out charging Trump until it would be too late to try the case before the 2024 election. Seems as though he did it in purpose.
