Anyone with rudimentary knowledge of virology, immunology, and epidemiology should be very critical of Fauci and also the CDC. Fauci was dishonest from the beginning and never stopped spreading disinformation.

Posts #248, 249, and 250 in this thread contain enough “basic knowledge” that anyone reading them can detect some of the lies he told if they themselves don’t deny science as Fauci did. If someone with half Fauci’s knowledge but twice his honesty had been in his position, countless lives would have been saved.

Some of the whoppers don’t even require basic knowledge of science to spot. Just a bit of critical thinking and/or basic understanding of logic.

Yes. Over and over, in high frequency, asked for or unasked, and incredibly detailed in the description of the most painful scenarios of dieing slowly.

Maybe I will believe you tomorrow.

This is misinformation. There is no such thing as ‘turbo cancer’ and it’s highly unlikely the covid vaccine caused the cancer in his brain.

David Gorski has written about this. He said that the cancers from the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima took at least two years to develop and those cancers were the result of the most powerful carcinogen of all — large doses of ionizing radiation. After the bombings, it took cancers in the blood about two years to show up and it took most ‘solid’ cancers about 10 years to show up. If the vaccines were a powerful carcinogen as stated by some nutters, then we would be seeing the beginning of leukemias in a large proportion of people who received the vaccine, not solid cancers.

That is actually correct - bolding mine. No evidence that the vaccination can and does kill. Perhaps you would like to view the link below:
Deaths of anti-vaccine advocates from COVID-19 - Wikipedia

Then again you could also view the following:
Possible cancer-causing capacity of COVID-19: Is SARS-CoV-2 an oncogenic agent? - PMC (nih.gov)
"The long-term impact of COVID-19 on morbidity and mortality cannot be neglected. Experimental studies show that SARS-CoV-2 is able to induce re-infection/reactivation and persistent infection in the same manner as seen with other viral infections. One of the most worrying long-term effects of infection is the potential to induce malignant neoplasms, which will be a major health concern over the coming decades. SARS-CoV-2 infection affects many mechanisms that play a crucial role in cancer onset and progression including cell cycle regulation, the RAAS system and inflammation/proliferation signaling pathways."

The research simply suggests potential, with no causation yet established.

No one ever claimed that everyone will die from receiving a COVID shot. Now, there were many people who said those who don’t get one are murderers.

Director of the Mayo Clinic's Vaccine Research Group is now calling for a more rigorous detection and investigation of adverse events after suffering a Covid-19 adverse event. Sad that the vaccine companies have ignored all of the evidence to determine if there is a causality from the vaccines.

Well this is scary. The study cited is peer reviewed. Some posters here point to that process as the gold standard for accuracy. I don't share that opinion but to each his own. The basis of the work is that the efficacy rates of the mRNA vaccines is much lower than claimed.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/healt...rs criticized the Pfizer,it, the study stated.

As already stated, the Epoch Times is not a trustworthy source of information.

The article ‘Covid-19 mRNA vaccines: Lessons learned from the registrational trials and global vaccination campaign has numerous issues and is full of misinformation.

As far as peer-review goes, it’s a good process for maintaining quality and ethics but it fails when not performed by qualified experts. The above mentioned article is an opinion piece and was claimed as ‘peer reviewed’ but it’s fairly difficult to get a quality peer review within days of receiving the article.

As far as the journal itself, it seems to accept low quality articles that other reputable journals will not publish. The article that was posted here is a good example of that. Cureus also depends on post-publication scientific peer review which results in many studies being retracted.

The authors Kirsch, Rose, and McCullough are anti-vaccine activists which means the narrative is full of bias and misinformation.

The narrative appears to be a continuation of the claims anti-vaxxers constantly try to get accepted as fact. Unfortunately, it’s all been repeatedly debunked. They wrote about the length of the trials. Their first piece of misinformation was that no vaccine is allowed to be released in the market without a testing period of less than four years. They used the mumps vaccine as example which actually only had a clinical trial that lasted 6 months even though it took four years to get into the market. Again, the mumps vaccine was only tested on a subject pool for 6 months and took four years for all of the red tape.

When vaccines are developed it usually takes anywhere from ten to fifteen years but this is not the time frame that a clinical trial needs to run. The number of years it takes is down to how long it actually takes to create the vaccine, get resources together, get the approvals, run actual clinical trials, process the data, and file for approval to market the vaccine. The time it took for Covid vaccines to get to the market was due to worldwide collaboration, instant funding, and a huge available and willing subject pool, and fast-tracking the manufacture of the vaccines. The mRNA vaccine had been studied for over thirty years and making a mRNA vaccine became possible with the advent of nanotechnology and the ability to get the genetic information into the cell without it degrading before it got to the cells. Basically, it was simple to create — take the genetic information and follow the mRNA vaccine recipe. It was nothing new.

It is a huge lie by these people that the vaccines were developed too fast. This paper provided ZERO evidence that the fast development of the vaccines resulted in unsafe vaccines.

The paper also claimed that the CDC said the mRNA vaccines would stop transmission of the virus which is another complaint by anti-vaxxers that isn’t true. The CDC never said this and the article the authors linked to is a CDC article that said the vaccines appear to REDUCE transmission. The point of the vaccines was to reduce or prevent severe disease and death, not to totally block transmission.

Another piece of misinformation that the authors of the article presented was that the mRNA vaccines were contaminated with DNA to higher than the allowed limit. This is absolute BS. All biological products that are manufactured using cells have a tiny amount of residual DNA and there is no health risk associated with the residual DNA. This has been studied for decades. The vaccines were tested and any extra DNA is the vaccines was way below regulatory limits.

The authors also attempted to suggest the Pfizer vaccine has DNA from the SV40 virus that causes cancer. Maybe the authors should do some research and discover there isn’t actually any conclusive evidence that SV40 can cause cancer in humans. They also might want to consider the tiny piece of SV40 is a DNA sequence that is often used to manufacture mRNA and the part that could potentially cause cancer has been removed.

The article also falsely claimed that autopsy studies showed that 74% of deaths were ‘judged’ to have been caused by the mRNA vaccines. This came from Peter McCullough one of the authors of this article who previously had tried to publish a study in the Lancet about deaths. McCulloughs study that claimed the 74% of deaths was removed by the Lancet for violation of its ‘screening criteria’ This means the conclusions in McCulloughs research paper were not supported by the study methodology, therefore unacceptable as a preprint in the Lancet. The study was nothing more than a review of autopsy reports and tons of the cases had obvious causes unrelated to vaccination.

The authors also falsely stated that the vaccines were not proven to be safe or effective. This is an opinion and not actually researched by the authors. Many studies have been conducted related to safety and efficacy of the mRNA vaccines and found them to be safe and effective.

The authors also make warning statements about many Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESI) reported after covid vaccinations. There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding around AESI’s with people attributing them to the vaccines when they aren’t actually caused by the vaccines. If you look at the Pfizer study information it has 1291 adverse events listed, It’s not a list of mRNA vaccine side-effects. It’s actually a list of adverse events that Pfizer had to look for during the study. Many of the listed adverse effects have zero to do with vaccines.

The authors also state their opinion that the low absolute risk of death means vaccination wasn’t necessary. They were obviously misunderstanding statistical calculations. The vaccine has been statistically shown in the real world data to be very effective at stopping severe illness and death.

The authors claimed that two big drug safety reporting systems in the USA and Europe have over 7.8 million reports of adverse events with ‘death’, ‘hospitalization’ and ‘life threatening reactions’. The authors in this case seem to be purposefully posting misinformation. It is a well-known fact that VAERS and Yellow Card data are unverified and could contain duplicate information. Any organization that collects reports of adverse events have warnings: that the information may be duplicated; the reports have not been assessed by health authorities; the reported event may be caused by events other than getting the vaccine. The reporting systems to collect data related to signals not related to causation. Anybody can make a report which means it’s open to anti-vaxxers abusing the system with fake reports even though they have never been vaccinated.

How this opinion paper ever got published in any journal after a supposed peer review is beyond me. It’s full of debunked information and pseudoscience. No reputable journal would have accepted it and no reputable experts in the field would given it a pass in the peer review process. This opinion piece is biased garbage written by biased anti-vaxxers who have presented no facts.

It’s most obvious now the Covid vaccines are ineffective and dangerous.

It’s obvious that covid vaccines are effective and safe.

I can write whatever kind of post I want and sometimes it’s necessary to actually write quite a bit to explain the misinformation. I did keep to the point. Did you bother to actually read what I had explained about the article and consider it? I doubt that very much.

How so? There is enough research and epidemiological data that says otherwise. Anybody can parrot ‘ineffective and unsafe’ and usually can’t give a decent explanation as to why and produce misinformation written by anti-vaxxers. It seems that most who subscribe to your opinion don’t do a lot of critical thinking related to the misinformation and really have no inkling how vaccines are produced, how they work, and how they prime the immune system to hopefully prevent serious illness and death.

Which of the vaccines are you referring to as there are four different vaccines based on different methodologies? Do you believe all vaccines are ineffective or just the ones for covid?

Yes, once you review the research, statistics, and epidemiological data from around the world, it’s obvious vaccines are both safe and effective at priming the immune system to lessen severe symptoms and prevent death.

Why don’t you explain why you believe the vaccines are unsafe and ineffective. You must possess some special knowledge that demonstrates that all the evidence related to safety and effectiveness is wrong. Maybe start with proof that the vaccines are unsafe and then go on to explain how the vaccines are ineffective at priming the immune system to recognize the virus and thereby mount a better and more stable response when the virus is encountered. You could even write to some of the experts in the field and let them know why they are wrong. I don’t think ‘LOL. It’s obvious’ is an acceptable educated response.

Covid vaccines aren’t vaccines offered by criminal organizations with a long history of corruption and who’s sole goal is making enormous profits.

    What could go wrong?

The misinformation is down to the same things repeated over and over on social media. Real experts don’t publish their results primarily on social media. The cherry pickers pick their misinformation and it travels like wildfire on social media. It’s still misinformation and you are part of the problem.

There is misinformation and disinformation out there from both sides of this issue. Unfortunately the disinformation from the public health and pharmaceutical sectors mostly gets a pass in media and political spheres. In fact, the media helps public health entities spread and defend disinformation.

One of the main reasons misinformation and disinformation proliferate in the public on the “anti vax” side (or whatever one wants to call it), is because it’s become increasingly obvious the political, media and public health entities are flat out lying about certain things. Thus, there can be no trust in these entities.

Because there is no trust left, the general public doesn’t know what to believe. Official sources of information are not trustworthy so people turn to other sources of information. But those sources may or may not be accurate or honest either. And there is no way for the average citizen to know. Most folks aren’t epidemiologists of virologists. This leaves most people without direction and open to believing things that are not true coming from official and alternative sources.

Then the talk turns to conspiracy and accusations fly from both sides about that. Mostly accusations come from folks who believed disinformation put out by public health entities. They can’t see that they believe as much nonsense as the other side because they are wallowing in appeal to authority and appeal to emotion fallacy.

Conspiracy theories can be annoying. Like flies. Buzzing around in your ear. But do you know where those flies came from? They were hatched and nourished in the rotting, stinking body of lies and dis/misinformation told throughout the pandemic. Disinformation like telling people not to wear masks in the places where infection is most likely and instead mandating their use where infections are least likely. Lies like “RT-PCR tests are gold standard and increasing testing is the answer to the pandemic”. Lies like “it doesn’t matter what kind of mask you wear, just so that everyone does” or “homemade cloth masks are just as good as those purchased from medical supply stores”. Disinformation like “vaccines don’t prevent infection, they just decrease severity of disease”. The corpse of lies is bloated in the hot sun of empirical evidence. And the flies can smell it from miles away. They come, lay their eggs that hatch into maggots that consume the body of lies. When they are full, they pupate, and then emerge as the flies of conspiracy buzzing around your ears.

I believe Nietzsche formed the template for the best description of what has been done. If I may parody what may be one of his most famous thoughts that turned out to be prophetic in the death of not only one, but now two institutions.

“Science is dead. Science remains dead. And we have killed it. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become progressives simply to appear worthy of it?”

Yes, the Enlightenment killed God. And replaced it with “science”. But when empirical evidence conflicted too much with our feelings and desire for control we had to kill science as well. Covid has clearly demonstrated this to be true.

For those who really do care about facts and individual human life, and are willing to use critical thought, consider: I am the madman. I have smashed my lantern in the street and this post is my pronouncement of requiem aeternam deo on science.
