I get your point, but disagree.

The LGBTQ+ community is going loud and proud because they can. What I mean is that, until recently, they dared not reveal themselves for fear of retaliation, either verbal or physical, or in the form of ostracism. When one is bound up for years and suddenly freed, is it any wonder that hooting and hollering ensue? Let them have their time in the light. The media will lose focus when tolerance becomes the norm.

As for the contagion among the young, I see your point there as well, but that, too, will pass, hopefully with minimal damage to young psyches. Parents need to be both tolerant and vigilant.

 

Then it’s a good thing a small fraction of the 8 billion people right now are NOT gay, otherwise you’d be making a slightly less stupid point.

 

Except homosexuality is found in thousands of species throughout nature. So it is, by definition, natural and not “against nature”

Just because you hate something doesn’t mean you get to invent new definitions to justify that hate.

Pretty much the first actual study on same sex attraction through the most recent ones put the percentage of the population between 8% and 12% — so it looks like your desire that they go extinct isn’t working out too well.

You could wait until the heat death of the entire universe and a born male will never be able to get pregnant by natural means, no matter what the alphabet groups tell you.

As I stated before, I'm not religious. As far as the "non-binary" student that died after being assaulted, HER attackers still haven't been named because they are part of the "protected" class of which we are not allowed to speak. I'll give you two guesses, but you're only going to need one.

You being religious or not religious is irrelevant to the discussion. At least religious people can fall back on a storybook to justify their hate.

 

Again, I'm not religious, and the Westboro people are lunatics. Having said that, Oklahoma is a majority conservative, Christian state. That shouldn't have to change just because 0.0000000000001% of Oklahoma's population identifies as trans or non-binary. The vast majority shouldn't have to bend their knee to the all-but-microscopic minority.

I don't care if you are gay, trans, non-binary, or identify as an interstellar giraffe. That is your right to do so, more power to you. You do not, however, have the right to insist that I play along with your fantasy. My daughter, for example, likes women. She has a friend that is a born female but identifies as non-binary and goes by the name of "Sev". I don't have a problem with them hanging out, but I refer to her as SHE and by her given name. She knows this and doesn't make a big deal of it. You do your thing, I do mine. I don't commit crimes, I go to work, I come home, I pay my taxes. If the world had about 8 billion more of me, it just might be a slightly better place.

The likely rise in the number of LGBTQ is due to the recent gay marriage being legal.
Less young folks care what person someone loves.

So more are coming out of the closet. Which is a good thing.
Less chance of getting beaten up or killed.

Unless, one has the same mindset as the OP Senator. Folks like that still would love to beat or kill LGBTQ people.

MAGA has been losing seat for the R party since 2018 because of the hate they spout.
