Because "Never-Trumpers" are very much like the folks that dragged innocent people out of their beds in the middle of the night and hung them from trees 100 years ago.

Have another toke. Necklaces have nothing to do with the subject.

Maybe you'd like to discuss gardening? You certainly have no interest in discussing the TOPIC of this thread.

Baseball? Pets? Or something more relevant to your position in life? Spelling? Addition? T-Ball perhaps?

My hatred for Trump is visceral, but I would never do something like that.

Hate? Why would you hate anyone? Especially the President who got the southern border under control. Under Biden the governor of New York has ordered the National Guard to provide security on the subway.

Trump’s financial decisions won’t impact you in the area of seeking employment.

He’s seeking employment with me. So why shouldn’t I know about his financial problems?

Initially I thought of Trump as someone who cared about those who have left behind behind behind economic changes of the twenty-first century Trump changed that delusion by cutting taxes for the rich. I hate him because of that, and because he is unpresidential and lacks civitus.

He cut tax rates for the rich. But they pay more, Trump included, because state income taxes were not fully deductible which hurt taxpayers on California and New York. He cut corporate tax rates which were a drag on productivity and re investment. And he implemented a process by which overseas profits could be re patriated to collect even more tax revenue. Bill Clinton was "unpresidential" and a scum bag but he was a very effective President. He cut capital gains tax rates significantly which resulted in a bonanza of capital gains tax revenue for the federal government. In fact ~ 25% of his total budget surpluses were from the increase in cap gains tax revenue.

Cutting taxes for the rich caused the national debt to grow from $908 billion during President Carter's last full year in office in 1980 to $27,748 billion during Trump's full year in office. From 1980 to 2020 the national debt as a percentage of gross domestic product grew from 35% of gross domestic product (GDP) to 129% of GDP.

    https://www.thebalancemoney.com/national-debt-by-year-compared-to-gdp-and-major-events-3306287

Now Republicans are using the rise in the national debt for which they are responsible in efforts to cut popular domestic spending programs.

For years opinion surveys have indicated majority support for higher taxes on the rich, not tax cuts.

The rich have plenty of money.

Uncontrolled spending on entitlement programs are responsible for the national debt explosion. Spend within your means.

    Your graph ends in 2007?

Domestic spending programs are popular. Tax cuts for the rich are not. This is the Democrat's strongest issue. I wish they were better able to exploit it. Instead they take unpopular stands on crime, race, and immigration, where the Republicans have the advantage.

It shows they have no standards (at this point) and would rather have a fascist con man than democracy. I could have given a different argument a few years ago, but I can't now. At this point, anyone still supporting Trump just loves to hate democracy. There is no other explanation.

Domestic spending programs are popular because people get free money. They are in general extremely wasteful. Approximately $20T spent on the war on poverty with zero effect.

I admit that the War on poverty was a mistake.

    https://www.heritage.org/poverty-and-inequality/report/the-war-poverty-after-50-years

It transformed millions of the working poor into unemployable welfare recipients who often supplement their welfare checks with the gains of criminal activity.

Middle class entitlements are popular because they benefit middle class and working class people.

Agreed. Middle class entitlements are paid for by the middle class. They should be based on private accounts with safety nets for those in need but they are not.

Why do you hate Trump? You don't like cheaper gas? Lower inflation? Safer borders? No new wars? Safer streets? Stronger military? Lower taxes?

WHY, exactly do you get so emotionally hostile about Trump?

Rapist? Trump is no rapist. Can you quote the court that found him guilty of the crime of rape? (Civil courts can't find anyone guilty of CRIMES.)
Swindler? Again... name the finding of a criminak court that held that to be true.
    Pathological? Opinion... opinion... opinion.

PESKY FACT: Trump has never been convicted of any crime in any criminal court in the nation.
