What do you think of Arsenal and Liverpool? Where will they end up? Arsenal's losing Clichy, and likely Nasri and Cesc.. They got Gervinho.. I don't think they can stay top 4 anymore; Liverpool is spending and so might spurs (new striker?).
Another trophy-less season for Arsene's men, i reckon. I think Liverpool will do better this season though.
I'm wondering how City will do in the Champions League. They did horribly in Europe in the lower competition, but I think they're going to take this a little more seriously.
If Modric wants to be a judas, then he should go. As long as the rent boys offer a fair price for Modric, I am all for it. Spurs could buy 3 quality players for 30 million quid.
I think he'll end up going for about 32-ish. Either that or Villas-Boas will bring in Moutinho (I hear he's still considering Sneijder, but United seem to have that one). With that Spurs can reinforce the defense and bring in a real striker.
I would sell him for 25 or up. Harry said 30 million is not enough, but I disagree. Modric is a fantastic player, but I do not want a player at Spurs if he is so eager to join a hated rival. If a player wants to go to Chelsea, or Arsenal and the bid is of fair value, they can go. With 30 million for Modric, Harry could buy a top striker and probably a quality midfielder as well.
Who do you want to see as the new striker? I hear Rossi and Llorente being mentioned; Ade would be a little too unlikely, I think.
12 million could get Adebayor and Spurs could spend that if Levy wants to get a top striker. If Modric does want to go to Chelsea in the end, Levy should demand Drogba be part of the deal.
I would like to see Scott Parker at Spurs as well. I believe Spurs look good in the midfield, but Parker for the right price would be worth it. I also like to stick it to West Ham
LOL. Parker is so overrated. Get a real keeper and a stronger back-line; Bale and Lennon are fantastic, get a striker; GG Champions League qualification every year.
West Ham are a well supported club. They are the third best supported club in London, after Arsenal and Spurs. Now Chelsea, they have no fans. Just a rich owner whose money makes people forget Chelsea are a small club!!
Chelsea were always big. They might not have been league challengers every season, but they've faired well in history..
Yes, but they seem to be having the same problem as City, but on a smaller scale. And the same problem as Blackburn. Money to spend, but no big name players want to go there. City will eventually get a few more mercenaries, because they do offer such absurd wages, but Blackburn won't. QPR will get a few players as well, because at least they have the benefit of being in West London and not Lancashire.
I am not so sure. I want to be optimistic, but I think everything hinges on the next 2 major signings Liverpool makes. They need a solid left-back(nothing spectacular, just solid). And they need a top-class winger/left or right forward. That way they will line up like this next year Reina Johnson Carragher/Kelly Agger/Skrtel New left-back Gerrard/Henderson Lucas Mereiles/Adam Suarez Carrol New winger/forward If those signings are Wayne Bridge and Stewart Downing, I think 6th place is pretty likely once again. If they are more along the lines of Cissoko(the one at Lyon) or Enrique and Mata, then I think third or fourth is very possible. As I said, I think it all depends on the signings, but unfortunately I think the former is much more likely than the latter.
I hear Liverpool are looking to sign Park Chu Young from relegated Monaco. That's cool... Reina Johnson Carragher Agger SIGNING Gerrard Merieles Henderson Adam Suarez Carroll I don't think Liverpool are going to look to play width up front, so perhaps a midfielder who drops deeper and stronger fullbacks are necessary.
I think that works with fullbacks providing the width, but it would be Gerrard or Mereiles playing more advanced, with Adam playing deeper. PS. That is a very Italian formation. I wonder how it would work in the Premier League.
Malaga is on the Costa del Sol(spelling?? I am too lazy to google it). It is an appealing place. Certainly more appealing than Blackburn or Manchester.
They were consistently in the first division/Premier League for the last 30 years or so, but never particularly successful. Before Abramovic bought them, they had won the league once. Hardly the record of a particularly successful club.
Yeah, but they were first division regulars, my point. They always had a culture. Now it's just one of winning. And seeing them steamroll teams, I can do nothing but cheer!
