Of course he does, how ever the Democrats spent more money on the stimulus in one year than the Bush tax cuts combined. A stimulus that failed miserably. Unemployment was above 9% in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Cheap excuses for failed economic policies. It's not all Barry's fault, the Democrats passed the stimulus in the House without a single Republican vote and three RINO votes in the Senate.

No matter how much they deny it, the numbers speak for themselves.

The sad part is, from what we are finding out about his plan is, that he wants to spend more money.

All those solar companies going belly up on Stimulus loan guarantees that we are now on the hook for.

Anybody know where Bernie Madoff is, I'd like to make an investment.

So if you are really concerned about it like you pretend you are, do something to fix it.

Write your Tea Party rep and tell them to compromise on a deal to lower the deficit.

Otherwise your just being a hypocrite.

I love this argument. Unlike Medicare, Social Security and other mandatory spending items, DoD and everything under it is discretionary spending and has to be budgeted for and voted on every year.

The left has been in charge since 2007. They easily could have adopted their forerunner's policy of unfunding the wars like they did Vietnam. Lay this at Obama's and the Democrat Party's feet. He did promise to end them.

First thing to mention is that the Bush Budget runs to October 2009 so even though Obama stepped into office in Feb .. the majority of 2009 spending is on Bush's head.

The second item is that the required stimulus was bipartisan and resulted from reckless Bush policy and wanton neglect.

Bush was handed a balanced budget and managed to double the debt.

Obama was handed a burning ship. Prior to leaving the ship the Bush admin poured gasoline on the fire.

I am a fiscal conservative. I have no love for Obama but I am not going to sit here and demonize the guy for something Bush did.

More republicans need to wake up and hold washington accountable .. whomever is in power.

Trying to blame Obama for Bush admin failures is not helping our credibility.

Here is the total spending in the last 4 years when Democrats controlled the CONGRESS.

    $13,775.2 TRILLION DOLLARS

Here is the spending the last 4 years the Republicans controlled the CONGRESS

$10,149.5 TRILLION DOLLARS, and that was too much!

Total deficits last 4 Democrat years,

    $4,763.8 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!!!

Total deficits the last 4 years Republicans controlled CONGRESS,

$1.141.1 TRILLION, and that was too much.

Somebody HAD to do something, so DEMOCRAT INSANE SPENDING SPAWNED the tea party.

Here is what those TRILLIONS look like.
    http://usdebt.kleptocracy.us/

    Debt today :$14,612,435,498,338.62

    Debt 1/20/2009 $10,626,877,048,913.08

The DEBT has increased by $3,985,558 TRILLION in the last 31 months. And by $4,763,800 TRILLION in the last 48 months of DEMOCRAT control of CONGRESS and somehow that is the fault of prior Republicans?

And the story of 2 wars that were not paid for is an out and out liberal lie. It is not remotely connected in any way with the TRUTH. It is pure LIBERAL LYING. Funds not appropriated by Congress, STILL are part of overall spending and ARE included in the spending report at the end of the FY. THERE IS NO SECRET CARRYOVER MONIES. To make such an asinine claim shows the ignorance or desperation, or both of the liberals.

When Republicans lost control of CONGRESS, they left a deficit of $161 billion from FY 2007. Not one other cent.

Any portion of that due to Bush's two unfunded wars and bank bailout?

More disingenuous Tea Party memes. You should be embarrassed.

LOL and poor Bush and the house had no control over runaway spending by congress ? Is this what you are suggesting ?

2000-2008 DOD spending increased from 300 Billion -700 Billion
Add in another 200 million of "other" military spending give (600 Billion)

Revenue from the crash of 2008 to the time Obama stepped into office in Feb 2009 decreased from 2.7 Trillion to 2.15 Trillion (550 Billion)

Do the math .. there is 1.15 Trillion right there due to the Bush admin.

The Bush budget goes to October 2009 .. in essence total deficit from 2009 is on Bush's shoulders.

The stimulus package was bipartisan .. it did not matter who was in power .. it would have been passed.

The reason why the stimulus was needed ... Failed Bush policies.

Quit listening to false doctrine .. it is not helping the GOP.

My Tea Party rep (Joe Walsh) is all about cutting the deficit. He has a whole list of federal departments (Democrat violations of the Constitution) he would like to slash/abolish to cut "the deficit."

Yes, Democrat violations of the Constitution are MANDATORY spending, while things actually called for in the Constitution are "discretionary" or optional! :angered: THEY call US "radicals!" :omfg:

Bush was handed an accounting gimmick. Certainly in 2000 the debt only increased by $19B, but in no year did it result in a surplus.

Yea, after Clinton refused to fight the War on Terror. :omg:

Terror attacks under Clinton for which there was little to no response. :omfg:

1993 - The first World Trade Center bombing
    1995 - Oklahoma City bombing
1996 - Khobar Towers bombing - Saudi Arabia
    1998 - U.S. Embassy bombings Kenya/Tanzania
    2000 - USS Cole Bombing - Yemen

Bush fought the War on Terror that Clinton ignored. Of course it is easy to save money when you don't pay necessary bills...

You should stop with your intellectual dishonesty.

Military funding is discretionary funding. You do know the difference between that and something like Social Security which is mandatory funding do you not?

It means that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan had to be budgeted for. Therefore, unless Congress has cut off all military funding, they have been funded.

Yes, please read what he writes and quit deflecting because you have no clue what we are talking about here. His post doesn't counter mine. He shows the hard numbers, I show that they get budgeted for.

Giftedone and I aren't at cross purposes.

Actually the power to tax the American People at all derives from Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. Article 1, Section 8 is one complete sentence (a complete thought) and lists the powers of Congress. Among them is the power to tax, and several other POWERS to provide for BOTH the common Defense and general Welfare. Trouble is Democrat wealth distribution and social engineering schemes just aren't on the list. Several powers are listed for common Defense, and for providing for the military.

We collect way more in taxes to easily pay for all the military spending regardless of war status. There is no legitimate power to tax the American people for that which is not authorized in the Constitution. Therefore Wars and the military are ALWAYS funded with tax money. It is Democrat violations of the Constitution that are NOT EVER properly funded.

Democrats should be made to answer how Constitutional violations get funded with tax money at all! :angered:

    NOT ONE SINGLE CENT.

UNBUDGETED AND UNFUNDED ARE 2 VASTLY DIFFERENT THINGS. The wars started out off budget, and then were included in subsequent budgets. They were ALWAYS included in the spending at the close of the Fiscal Year 09/30/20xx. A brain damaged moron could figure out that there never was an unfunded war. UNFUNDED, means no money, no money, means no war. And Democrats that believe that somehow one president can hold back an obligation so that it is counted against the next president, are mindless ideologues. That cannot happen. Sep. 30,, On budget or off, the total spending is tallied. And the next administration AND CONGRESS [THEY COULD BE THE SAME] starts with a $0 balance for that FY. The National Debt has a new total when they start, but there is no $11.26 cents or $100 billion dollars carried over. Its just too stupid to think there is.

You evidently don't know how our government accounts for our money. And you haven't a clue what any of the many, many tea party groups do or think or believe.

The various organized and incorporated groups like THE TEA PARTY NATION, and TEA PARTY PATRIOTS, are not the tea party, which is a great many diverse groups.
It is really stupid to try to fight an enemy when you don't even know who your mistakenly perceived enemy is.

But stop making an ass of yourself telling the"UNFUNDED" war lies. Its just silly.

And Bush's TARP program? BY and large, the tea party would not have been for that either. But according to Treasury Sec. Geithner [you can judge his veracity for yourself] on Jul 13, 2011, all but $50 billion of the TARP funds had been repaid. Geithner said he thinks that remaining $50 billion is unrecoverable. I'd like to see odrama, the gross incompetent, have any program that cost as little as $50 billion. But what is MOST important about the paid back TARP funds is that the legislation that authorized TARP [fully bipartisan, in a Democrat controlled CONGRESS, by the way] was to be used EXCLUSIVELY to pay down the debt. Where is that money, Timmy?
