Occupy Portland: Protesters Sing **** the USA

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeuGx8PplAo"]Occupy Portland: Protesters Sing (*)(*)(*)(*) the USA - YouTube[/ame]

October 15, 2011 - Protesters at Saturday's Occupy Portland demonstration vented some of their anger at the capitalist system by setting the phrase "**** the U.S.A." to music and performing it. With a jester hat-wearing guitarist, shirtless drummer and heavily bearded, long-haired bassist, the pick-up band was not short on characters. There were no other lyrics, so it's unclear what exactly the participants wanted or hoped to achieve

No big shock there. We know this is about the progressives raging about America's capitalist system, while ignoring Obama's ties to wealthy bankers and CEO's.

Notice the older guy playing the guitar.

    He's dressed in a fool's costume.

    That's very appropriate.

The kid is just a dumb kid.

He's really too young and I suspect too ignorant to provide a reason for what he is singing.

Why do so many liberals hate America?

Not just spineless Euro's who are obviously suffering from national penis envy but affluent American children who have been given everything?

I don't don't know but it is troubling.

The Occupy movement is liberal anti-Americanism showing its true colors...and hardly anyone is calling them out in the media for it.

Indoctrination in the educational system over a few generations.

"The critics of “cultural Marxism” are targeting what they see as the intellectual roots of the cultural pollution that has overwhelmed their civilization and onetime-intact communities. The roots of this force, these critics argue, go back to the Frankfurt Institute for Social Research, which was organized in interwar Germany, and to the influence its adherents exercised, especially in exile in the US after 1935.

Exponents of what the Frankfurt School called “critical theory”—like Herbert Marcuse, Theodor Adorno, and Erich Fromm—were considered by orthodox Marxists to be fake or ersatz Marxists.

But the self-proclaimed radicals of Frankfurt School did adopt orthodox Marxist-Leninist theory in depicting the bourgeoisie as a counterrevolutionary class. Like orthodox Marxists, they viewed the world, arguably simplistically, in terms of interest groups and power relationships. Like orthodox Marxists—whose break from Victorian classical liberalism in this respect was shocking in a way that is easily overlooked after the totalitarian experience of the twentieth century—they explicitly eschewed debate in favor of reviling and if possible repressing their opponents. (This is fundamental to the Marxist method: although it claims to be “scientific”, it is in fact an a priori value system that rejects debate and its concomitant, “bourgeois science”. Hence “political correctness”—the most prominent product of “cultural Marxism”.) They supported, at least in principle, a socialist i.e. government-controlled economy. And they inclined, in varying degrees, toward the Communist side during the Cold War. (Marcuse, who cheered the Soviet suppression of the Hungarian uprising in 1956, was an outright Stalinist—as I can confirm from personal knowledge as his onetime student.)

Still and all, the Frankfurt School, and especially its second generation as represented by the fervent “anti-fascist” Jürgen Habermas, has been far more interested in social engineering than in government ownership of the means of production distribution and exchange—the classic definition of socialism. From The Authoritarian Personality, edited by Adorno and his collaborator Max Horkheimer and brought out in 1950 by the American Jewish Committee (then and now funders of Commentary), to the repeated attempts by Habermas and his fervent followers to make German education politically useful to the anti-national Left, the Frankfurt School has focused on “anti-fascist” attitudes and behavioral patterns. Whether this can be extracted from Communist practice, or from Marx’s materialist view of class and history, are open questions.

But whatever the case, Frankfurt School-intellectuals rallied to Lenin’s Russia and later sympathized variously with the Communist DDR , were close to, if not always members of, the German Communist Party, and traced their work back to Marxist concepts. In short, they were social reformers in a hurry who also claimed to be Marxists.

I would however note that we’ve allowed things to happen that go well beyond anything that the founding generation of the Frankfurt School might have wanted. To my knowledge the original members never called for gay marriage or for handing over Western countries to hostile non-Westerners. Nor did they exhibit the loathing for ethnic national identities that has become characteristic of the multicultural Left (and the Respectable Right)."

These people have so much in common with the tea party?

Not an American flag (unless it's being stepped on) in any of these demonstrations. Even the Mexican-Americans got smart last year (down here in AZ) and used American flags in their protests, along with Mexican flags, of course.

These dirt bags aren't smart enough to realize that it's a bad PR move to not incorporate the American flag in their protests.

I see no one wants to admit there are people like this at the rallies:

Keep Focusing on the idoits, and not what this movement is really about.

You can see the same young faces at a Tea Party Rally.

If she's a lib and didn't abort the child I assume the woman cares about its future.

But if she happens to worship Lenin or Mao her kids are probably doomed anyway.

Isnt it illegal to abuse the US in this way in your country?

No doubt there are. But we really haven't heard too many admitting that these people are also there:

    [IMG][IMG]

When groups like this are supporting the "movement" maybe it is time to look a little harder at what the movement really is............

I can't wait for a bunch of thick necked union goons to come along and bust heads for insulting America. That was the rationale for beating up Tea Party people....right?

I would agree that there are a lot of hippies in the movement that need to be (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) slapped, but how can you argue about the separation between money, corporations and politics?

Seriously? What's your argument as to why we should continue to have politics the way they are?

This child should know that the Obama administration continues to make her economic future as bleak and tenuous as can be.
The incredible irony is that she may take decades to understand is that the cynic in the White House, who needs Wall Street protesters to take the heat off of him, is as responsible for anyone for covering for plutocrats (in all but his rhetoric) and in making this nation a second rate emasculated debtor nation.

I'll bet anything her mom hates the Tea Party.

 I love it when everything gets blamed on O-bum-ba.....This has been brewing for 30+ years.

    Lets recap shall we?

Under Reagan/Bush, the Nation Debt to GDP ratios INCREASED from 40% to 60%.
Under Clinton, the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act was inacted.
Under Bush (43) he added 4.97 trillion to the national debt.

That is all O-bum-ba fault?

No matter who was the 44th president, they were doomed to failure as soon as they took office.

No doubt O-bum-ba's spending is out of control, but every administration since Carter (and he wasn’t a good president, but his spending wasn't out of control) has been crap that lead to where we are today.

So please continue on with your O-bum-ba bashing..it shows you don't have a clue.

Where are the signs and speeches condemning the incestuous "money, corporations and politics" relationship between ObamaCo and Solyndra/"green" industry fraud?

When such outnumbers the pro-socialism/communism/Eat The Rich/anti-America sentiments and tone....

I'll take a second look at lending a shred of credibility to this "movement"

Until then, it's nothing more than agenda laden astroturf orchestrated by anti-capitalist/pro-collectivist elites.

The child should know that it is immoral for government to take the hard earned money of one citizen and give it to her just because she is too lazy to work.

But its allright for the Fed and the Banks to create money from thin air and create a Ponzi scheme that is about to fail right?

Keep ignoring the root of the problem in this country.

Why would a person feel the need to write a sign like that, if she were not going to a progressive astro-turf freak show???
