I laugh at them too, what a pitfull job to have. so you are saying that ALL people that clean toilets end up starting businesses and earning millions...gee Mak i think that the maccas grease has gone to your head.
Good point. I have a feeling that if the employee had described a black person as a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) on the receipt, we'd have seen entirely different coverage and entirely different reaction from liberals. Me? Racism is racism. To me, it doesn't matter the skin color of the employee or the customer. Frankly, it doesn't even matter the description was racist. The fact is, the employee insulted a customer. That's a basic no-no anyone with the slightest clue realizes. I suspect some of the people here giving the employee a pass would be the first to scream, whine and sue if it happened to them.
How do you know the description was right on? The customer felt offended, as did the public, so they fired him rightfully. The end.
That is a good point. It doesn't matter that racial slurs were used. Personally attacking a customer for no reason is really unprofessional. If it had been a black person that was called a n***er, you can bet that nobody would be saying that the store "went too far" in firing the employee. But today, it's more socially acceptable to be racist towards asians than it is to be racist towards black people. Sad, but true.
I laugh at people who laugh at other people who actually have a job. It doesn't matter where you work. At least you are working and not sitting on your arse. Just think where would you be without those checkout chicks to serve you at the supermarket? You have no right to laugh at people who are trying to make a living.
the customer probably seen a chance to make money by suing... the public has gone P/C mad. I would hire this kid in a heartbeat.
So the worker was fired? Good to know, and not a moment too soon. He should be made to apologise to the woman personally.
Did she sue? It's an offensive comment decided so by the public. You are just an individual in that public.
She is making a lot of noise about something that dont really matter, if she aint going to sue i bet she got a nice little payout from the company. Oh and just because the P/C wanker scream the loudest it dont mean they have the right to speak for us all.
She just posted it to twitter. Are my shopping habits at Whole Foods, a common item on my twitter, a lot of noise? Is it her fault it got retweeted by others?
Then it must amuse you that the OED uses whining as a synonym for complaining. I laughed out loud, not really.
She just shared it, probably for her friends. I doubt she ever expected it to get this sort of attention. I don't expect my tweets, unfortunately, to make it big. If she were aiming for public attention, she would have sent it to news agencies. If she were aiming to get the kid fired, she would have told the manager and demanded it. The manager didn't even know.
