Thanks! It just makes you wonder about their thought processes and where they think First Families stay when they go abroad and what's required for their security. I also don't remember any hysterical rantings about who paid for Bush's trips to Crawford for the whole month of August to go to fundraisers on the taxpayer's dime.

I'm in FL now, and have been for about a decade, and like so much of the U.S., you almost have to live in Canada to get away from Hispanic influence. FL is loaded, to include the very strong Cuban community, as well as Central America. My wife was born and raised in Columbia, South America, so I do not relate to anti-Hispanic folks very well myself.

The upsurge in Mexican drug violence has elevated the issue enormously, and the country is just not doing much of a job getting a grip on this. The stance of the current administration has baffled me, as it seems such a losing position.

      Cheers.

I am often guilty as charged. Its also getting "old" of me. :)

Back when the Terps won the NCAA ('02 I think), Gary Williams had always done a radio show from a small bar up in Timonium, and I had my business then sighted outside Cockeysville, before moving it to Florida that summer. He had promised before the tournament that if he won the title that Monday, he would still be there doing his show Tuesday night. My son and I were in the long line that Tuesday night to get him to sign our NCAA Terps t-shirts. We got 6 folks from him before he quit. I don't fault him a bit, as I doubt he had had any sleep since he won. I will always respect him for being in that small bar off Padonia road that night. I have two of the shirts. Still wear 'em.

Its pretty out that way. I still have many friends in MD, to include Frederick. I remember when it was "country". Camped out by Ft. Frederick many times in Boy Scouts.

I'm in central Florida now, and am staying. I will also try to not pick fights with you, although it is good sport to aim at liberals, dontcha know :). But I am trying to commit to looking for the common ground. We both want things better for our kids.

      Fear the turtle.

LOL ... Those are my four kids. The girls are twins. And despite my best attempts to lie, I am the "old fart".

You have an MD flag. I was born at St. Josephs downtown. Went to high school at Calvert Hall in Towson. As for Palin, I do not dislike her. She is not presidential timber either. I do not want to see her at the top of anyone's ticket. But I also embrace all legitimate for-profit endeavors. I appreciate your honest posts, even if from the other side :)

Last time he spent the night he greeted his mom and dad the next morning with "Too much TV and too much treats!" :)

LOL - his mom is a fanatic about sugar in everything he has and I agree with her 100%. But I have to admit he's had some treats at my house that he doesn't get at home!

I think Kool-Aid has given way to all the other drinks available today - flavored water, etc. - that have less sugar in them. Still, it doesn't seem right that a kid has never had Kool-Aid! :)

My 3-year-old grandson heard somebody say Kool-Aid the other day and said "What's Kool-Aid?" I went straight out to buy some to make next time he's here! :)
