I think it's over for him, if ObamaCare support gets much worse he will get killed in an election, they could run Daffy Duck... and he would lose...

      That's nice,,,

Hey 47% Americans on recent poll will not vote for Obama. That's pretty bad for him. Mathematically that makes it almost impossible for him to win...That's registered voters.

I had some in a garden at another place we lived and I got rid of it by pulling it out everyday...took weeks or months but I finally got rid of it.

Nut grass is taking over. I weed some each day trying to pull the nut up along with the grass. That is the only final way to rid the garden of the hateful thing.lol

That is some really beautiful country around Ft. Davis and Davis Mountains. I love going to the Indian Lodge it is such a neat experience. I hope that area wasn't harmed too much. I heard that campers abandoned their tents and camping supplies. If someone has never seen a fire they can't imagine the frustration of not being able to control it. The thing is like it has a mind of it's own.

I love the daisies that was really nice. Finding a bouquet and a nice thought besides. I am glad the fires were not as bad as people thought. A lot of the damage is usually not visible from the roads. When we had the horrific forest fires here they were miles back and not visible from the main roads but they were there and they were burning. The area lost a lot of timber and woodlands.

Well, it is doing really good for now. It has been 106 to 109 the past week and the winds has been ridiculous! My mulching is great. Falena coached me on that. This is my first time to do broccoli and so far it is huge and I have to keep pulling other broccoli plants so they don't smother each other out. We have 7 acres and we use 1/2 an acre for the big garden and I have a smaller garden around the sides of the house which is getting as big as the other garden. LOL I was trying to just plant enough stuff to where I could just walk out the door and pick the veggies , instead of walking all the way to the garden. The wind is what I was afraid of, my hibiscus trees, tomatos, bell peppers, cukes and other taller plants..I was afraid they would break, but so far so good.
I guess I will do the broccoli again in the fall, even if it does pull through. BTW thanks for the links!

      You can save it tho-

"The best way to grow broccoli if you expect hot weather is to make sure that the broccoli plant is well mulched. The hot weather effect on broccoli will only happen if the heat gets to the roots. A thick layer of mulch will help keep the roots cool and prevent the broccoli from bolting."

Because broccoli in hot weather will bolt on you.
