Of course we want to be free, but we don't have to be Kurdish or Turkish there are a lot of other races and cultures in Anatolia. By your logic everyone from East Turkey who is not Turkish must be a Kurd. We don't have to choose between Turkish or Kurdish! We are definetly not Turkish but we're not Kurdish either. We Zazas from Dersim saw the Turks always as our enemies whereas Kurds began to fight the Turks since the first world war or a bit earlier. The fact that Turks are our enemies doesn't make us Kurdish. I could say that Kurds don't exist and that they are originally Persian since their language is similar. Actually Turks and Kurds were always friendly to eachother. In the Armenian Genocide some Kurds were paid by the Turkish government to kill Armenians. Whereas in Dersim Armenians could survive because we helped them. During the Genocide in Dersim (1938) Armenians had to change their names into Islamic names so that Turkish soldiers couldn't find out who is Zaza, Armenian or Kurdish.

I also heard that some Kurds don't want to know anything about Zazaki they are not interested at all. Some Kurds accept that we are not Kurdish. We are close related to Kurds but on the other hand we are related to Persians too.
