well , I mainly feed her 'Gravy Train' , she likes it , but I do give her table scraps most every day , and she's gaining weight , ya know ? Hahaha ... growing into a big dog.

That 'Iams' crap that all the vets push may be good , but Dixie won't even look at it , much less eat any of it ... I bet Mickey is the same way...

My wife found this new food , looks like a big roll of bologna , and she eats that and enjoys it , it's in the cold cooler on the pet isle at the grocery store , chock full of vitamins & stuff , but I still slip an egg or three in her bowl a few times a week ... and feed her the dry food as well ,,, I tel you , George , that dog eats better than I do..

But I'd never feed her chicken bones , NO , they're hollow and will cut the throat / intestines .

...now I'll feed Dixie chicken meat once I slip it off the bone , and she eats with relish chicken or turkey , and just yesterday I fed her the trimmings off of a big rib-eye steak , and she ate like it was the best thing she had ever had , hahahha,,, even had a bit of Heinz 57 on there... she even ate the baked potato scraps as well ...

You're exactly right in saying that raw meat is a good thing to feed , many hunting dogs eat meat every day , it keeps them strong and healthy , just like it does humans.. it's hard to beat good red meat , it's what's for supper ... man and dog alike .

I've friends that have Bear hounds , and they tel me that a dog that eats dry food all the time will turn into a 'shiit eater' , they'll crap and turn right around and eat their own poo ,,, nasty ...

Why ? they ain't getting the nutrition they need ... feed them meat , and they are fine..

Chris is a smart guy , he'll come around ... I know he Loves Mickey almost as much as you do ...

Their deflections and attempts to steer the narratives are SO obvious and transparent, aren't they!? lol!........."grassroots"/"apolitical"/"real" my rear end...the commie/marxist/socialist elements are deeply entrenched, funded and organized....as their fellow class warrior in the White House, and congressional true believers...
Reid/Pelosi, et al... look on approvingly...

You'll have them through the winter anyway , and probably for a while beyond that , but a large active dog takes a lot of energy to exercise , I bet I've gone through a box of cheap frisbees , hahaha... and she eats better than I do ...

Last weekend , I fixed a big spaghetti supper , Italian meat-balls , large shrimp , & chunked smoked sausage ... and fed her a big bowl of it... I didn't know it then , but my wife & daughter had fed her also , 3 big helpings ... and she had the darndest belly ache that night , moaned all night , i let her out about 4AM , and when she got through with her 'business' it looked like a saint bernard had been there ... but she felt better ... i've done the same thing , ain't you ? anyway , the guy came Monday to mow the lawn , and when that big riding mower hit that pile of 'poo' , __it went everywhere , whew , nasty . that poor guy probably had to go pressure wash that mower ... Hahaha.

We moved our daughter back-in this past weekend , so she and Dix are back together again , and happy to be so . She feeds & waters her now , so I don't have to any more , but I really didn't mind at all ... I bet you feel the same way about Mickey.. [IMG]

yep , I agree about 'the club' ... best Dinner ( that's Lunch for all y'all Yakees ) came from ' the club ' , 'course I paid $15.00 for a Cheeseburger Dinner , but it was a mighty fine cheeseburger dinner , even washed my car for me while I was eating , ( another $10.00 ) even had the offer of an after-dinner massage , man , you rich guys really know how to live.

.but you'd have to be rich to afford the drinks there , my word , never saw such expensive liquor as what was charged there at that golf club house , cost a man plenty to run up a tab there ...

lots of fine women though , but the young ladies were playing tennis or with the golf-pro while hubby was out on the links ... there were many hole-n-ones that day ,,, and if I ever come back in a next life / or lives , I hope one of them is a golf-pro in Hollywood , California ... now there is a guy that Loves his job ,,, never late for work and volunteers all the overtime he can get ...

Ahhh yeesssss , the good life ... FOUR .....

What did ya try that was fancy , a trick shot out of a sand trap , then ricochet off an oak tree back onto the green ? ? lol yea , that'd give anyone trouble .

I told ya , I was 'honey-mooning' all weekend... basking in the warm glow of studliness.

Dang , if this wear and tear keeps up , I may have to take up Golf. [IMG]
