Yes, I generally took the side of Israel in the Arab-Israeli conflict. After reading about the atrocities committed by Israel in the Gaza Massacre, however, I can no longer support them until they end their oppression of the people of Gaza.

I haven't seen them but I'll look them up, you're definitely right about the arab nations. It's a travesty that they work with Israel while their citizens watch their brothers and sisters dying in Gaza. It's surely down to US influence in the region so my hope is that the financial problems will reduce this influence and allow the people in the region to take more power. It's a complete mess at the moment, Hamas are the only truly democratically elected government in the arab world. I'm just listening to GG's talksport show now, get some more ammo for debates here. :D

He got an email from someone condemning the "violence" of the London demonstrations against Israel and started ripping into Israeli attacks brilliantly. Presstv itself is covering the whole thing so well, they even have four journos in Gaza and are showing the real atrocities of the attacks, where BBC just has Israel's propoganda-pushers.

I've found your typical anti-Islam thread and it's providing some interesting debate along with the typical ignorance you'd expect.

New labour guys are worse than Tories, they just trot out words like "pragmatic", "realistic", "electable" etc... and think they've won the debate, but what they don't realise is that so-called pragmatic decisions can have a huge negative effect, even to the extent of lives being lost.

Good for you with your Russian tutor, I've got my fingers crossed for a hot Latin American politics tutor. ;) I can't stand Russia today though, I know it's no more biased than the BBC but at least the BBC makes an effort to cover up its bias. I tend to go with the Guardian, BBC and presstv day to day so I get a good balance.

Man U are officially the best club in the world now but it could be at a big cost. Inter'll be very tough but I still think we can take them, a Man U victory again is as likely as anything and if we could beat Mourinho and Chelski on the way I'll be a happy man. :D
