Once a thread has run several days and has 300+ posts it has taken on a life of its own. To then shut down the thread by claiming it “does not meet minimum standards for creating a new thread” is highly suspect. The appearance becomes that it was more likely closed because someone didn’t like the subject or the points being posted.

thank you...i think you may have deleted the thread. which is good, because I would probably be banned in short order, or at the very least, be forced, through guilt, into some organized religons form of contrition....and I certainly don't want that. cheers

Well, I tried to sign up using Pericles. And I was notified that the name was taken. I looked up the name on the 'Members List,' and found that there was just one post from a guy using that name - and actually, it was six years ago, not four. There's got to be some kind of statute of limitations on that. I would certainly prefer using the English name, to the Greek name. Can you help me out?

Got your message. Look, the name I've used here is the Greek version of the name "Pericles." On other sites I go by Pericles, and I would prefer to on this site, but its so happens that the name has been taken by someone who hasn't been on here in more than four years. I can understand why you'd want me to take my name down, but it would be a nice favor to me, to let me use "Pericles," considering that I am regular contributor.

Because the subject means a great deal to me. I wish there was a way the off topic and more "graphic" posts could be deleted instead of the entire thread. It was a good, albeit off topic, discussion. I'd hate to have to start a new one from scratch

If it was deleted due to going off topic, I can accept that. The whole "inappropriate for forum" language disturbed me, because I thought I made a good case against the laws being enacted. But as long as the subject can be discussed, I'm happy

Ok, I can accept that. I have tried to keep it on topic, but people seem intent on debating the nature of zoophilia rather than the laws I discussed.
If the thread is reinstated, or I create another one, I'll give a better effort to keep it on topic.
