Well, it's good that you're talking to someone. There is something that you can do, you can tell yourself that you don't want to be angry anymore. If you think you can, then you can.

Kaz, it's useless to think about the bad times ahead. You have to live now. Live to do what you like to do, to be with those you care about, to achieve your goals and start your career. I think you're lucky, because you didn't just graduate as I did. And now I have to worry about joblessness, no medical insurance, and what to do about it. By the time you graduate, the economy might be healthier and the unemployment rate will be much lower than it currently is. You can still be a kid...a college kid. I have to be an adult. I'm going to miss undergrad life, but I need to move on. At least for now, the fun is over. But, I'm hanging in there. I just got to work hard to grab hold of my future.

And the destruction of the world, that could he a hundred years from now. Let's not think about that now. We don't need to be in that abyss.

Can you talk to someone in health services like a counsellor? I think you should talk to someone. I want to help, but I'm no professional. I just hope that you can feel better soon and not have to feel so bad like I've been feeling for quite some time.

Why speculate about what could happen? And why not live in the now, right here and right now? You're 19, smart, interesting and in college. I think you have a bright future. If you don't mind me saying, your picture is cute. Being cute means that people could find it easy to like you. You look like a dedicated student and worker. You could do things...if you really wanted to. Plus, a smiling face is better than a moody face. :D

So be happy and enjoy being young! I'd love to be your age again. Don't waste time being indignant with all the idiocy in this world. I see it all the time, but as long as I know who I am and how happy I could be...it makes things in my world look better.

Besides, the world I know and the world you know, it's subjective. We see the world through a lens, so why not try a different colored lens? :D

But you're wrong, you are not the only one. It's just that good people aren't very prominent in society. They don't get enough recognition or attention. It's like in class where the bad boys get attention for disrupting class, while the good kids get ignored most of the time, because they're quiet and they just do their thing in an unobtrusive manner.

I used to be a pure optimist, but now I'm not. I'm not waiting for the end, but I believe that at the destructive rate we're going, the world won't last for too many centuries longer.

That's great that you want to be a teacher. All three subjects are wonderful. That's a lofty aspiration. I hope you succeed and do well. I didn't know what I wanted to be until this year. I want to go into teaching. For now, I want to see if I can get a temporary teaching position at my old high school. I'm not certified, but if it's okay with the language department, then that'd be great. The position would be as a Spanish teacher. I want to study Linguistics. Right now, I tutor ESL students.

Don't lose hope in life. We all are here for a reason to do some good in the world. I learned that one can't live just as an optimist; one has to balance pessimism, optimism, cynicism, and realism together. Of all those, realism is perhaps the most important, while optimism ranks second.

You sound like someone I'd have hung with at school! Although I spent most of my time stealing pens from everyone's pencil cases and dropping them through a hole in the floor. They'd come back and wonder were their pens were. Hehee. Lame but it was fun. I was kinda immature. Hell, I still am!!

I was a pain in the bum at school, too, but for all the wrong reasons. I remember doing one exam on politics. Pity I wasn't as into politics back then as I am now, or I'd have aced it. It had something to do with the Howard government. I thought I did well on it. Two hours and two pages and all I got was an E. After that I just gave up.

I am sure you did brilliantly. Highest marks of the class! :)

I hope you get all A's! How do you think you went?

History sounds the most interesting, not sure about writing a 2,500 work essay though. Do you have to count all the words you have written before you submit it? Does the person grading you count all the words?
