Lool Mak. I am no Angel and I am no I am an opinionated sob but I want you and the other moderators to know I do not mean any trouble on this forum. Because I have on other forums defended not just Jews but gays, blacks, women, Muslims and others from hate comments, I attract a following of Stormfront and neo Nazi sympathizers. I try not to respond to them directly. I am sorry some followed me here.

Sometimes it causes me to get maybe more strident or assertive in my responses then I should and I apologize for that to you or Ji or anyone else and I have gotten caught up responding in the Middle East posts to what I thought was dialogue degenerating into inciting hatred against Jews and maybe I am totally wrong in how I responded and I am just too emotionally involved at this point so I will take at least a week off from responding to Middle East posts and I am sorry for any problems I have caused you or Ji or any of the other moderators.

I just wanted to explore what it actually takes to get a thread closed. Is it convoluted verbose pedantic ranting? Or is it outbursts of dillusional anti-something or other insults? How about closing another of Awryly's threads and tell him that hes writing too many one liners and must write at least one full paragraph before the thread can be reopened. That would be hilarious.

The article and the study I quoted shows that Americans want both big and small government. This is either hypocrisy or schizophrenia - or something else that may have been explained if you had not been so concerned to close the thread.

Neither the title of the OP nor my comment were inappropriate to the subject matter of the article or the study.

There are many threads with titles more challenging than mine. And based less on the facts I adduced in quoting the article.

You have, as usual, reacted to people whose only concern was to get a perfectly valid debate closed. You are supporting those that feel challenged by the truth. That is not the role of a moderator. I have observed and commented on this behaviour before.

You need to reconsider whether a moderating role sits well with your competencies.

The thread title was based on the article and the study. Americans ARE schizophrenic about their government. The title merely pointed out what the article and the study were saying. i completely fail to see how the title was "trolling".

I await your explanation. And I would suggest you do not give the usual weight to the personal attacks on me of the idiot first-responders.

The topic is important and deserves to be aired.
