Well thank you. I think that love is blind. Having said that, I think that everyone should be happy and to deny that happiness goes against everything I have been taught.

But I sincerely think that the Christians have been losing battle after battle versus the state. And by denying gay marriage, it is a small victory in their eyes. When instead, they could have gained a powerful ally by showing a little compassion and compromise by allowing it and not pushing people further away.
