How would McCain help reduce the national debt? He would literally reduce taxes on everyone, which sounds great, but where do we get money? And he wants to stay in Iraq, costing us 10 billion dollars a month. At least Obama plans on getting money from SOMEWHERE, and doesn't want to continue spending so much in Iraq.

Just wondering (since I know you are an economy guy), if you had to choose between the two, would you choose Obama or McCain?

I am calling attention to something many on this particular board seem to run with and that is they are using racist arguments against Obama. In a way, in terms of the entire article, the numbers do speak toward this issue. I think it is naive to think that this is not a factor. It most certainly is in West Virginia. Also, with a large number of voters who were alive before say 1950 there is a deep embedded racism that still exists. There will be many that won't vote for him simply because of the color of his skin. Many white people have no clue what it is to be black and I am not going to start saying what that experience looks like since I am white. But, I think it is a serious reason some are not voting for him. Will it lose it for him, I don't know and probably never will.

By the way, thanks for posting this in a private message and in a respectful way. I honestly just like to rattle the neo-cons' cages.. :)

1. The Rich will obviously pay less, many Much Much less (the richer they are), in the FairTax Scam as they spend lesser percentage of their income to live than the working poor and middle who will be taxed (the ostensibly but laughably low stated) 23/30% on virtually their whole income/spending.
And with Links.
2. Saying the same as above. And in addition providing several Independent scoring estimates that the fairytax will ACTUALLY have to be in the mid 50's% range to be 'Revenue Neutral'. Perhaps higher with the underground economy this rate is SURE to cause.
(unlike the hard to beat payroll tax)
