Thanks! When I look at my Activity tab and see what you have posted in, the threads have words like libertarian, anarchy in them, the kind of things I like to see on top. When I look at What's New or look in the categories all I see is crap. But the way, I'm spending way too much time on here. This can't continue.

Where do you find these threads? Whenever I look for new threads, all I see is (R)obots and (D)rones arguing about which one causes all the worlds problems.

I'd say my views are a mix of skepticism, disillusionment, and a heathy dose of libertarianism.

No, that's not me. That guy was pushing the same thing I was at that time which was to get all the young lazy Ron Paul supporters to actually register in time to vote in the primaries and caucuses. I didn't think the strategy of trying to convince all the current republicans to change their mind about war in time to nominate him. That's something that took years for me. I tried for a few months to get all the liberty people with established outlets to push that message. Very early on Jesse Benton addressed the issue and flat out rejected it. He said they wouldn't even consider it; those people don't vote. A few people with youtube channels with a decent amount of subscribers did it. But most of them told me to leave them alone, that they had been doing this since... Anyway. I failed.

Hey, that last post of yours in your education thread made me think. I didn't notice that angle when you first put up the thread. The world is making us adapt our lives according to its terms. It's always been like that, but it's different now in some way that I can't put my finger on, and, for some reason, seems to be a way I don't like. But I don't even know what it is. Maybe it's just the fact that we don't educate ourselves for the sake of knowledge, but out of necessity. Oh well.

      Hi Z-Mom!!!!!

I was away due to a death in the family. Even now that I'm back in town, I've not been so drawn to the boards. I'll work my way back in slowly.

I don't see how that could be done without forcing other people to behave a certain way. So, I guess I can't get behind it. If it happened naturally, though, that would be kind of exiting. Also, the division of labor exists in even the smallest of economies. Even a single family can benefit from having certain members focus on certain things.

An anarchist. I don't have a problem calling myself a libertarian since libertarianism seems to encompass anarchist and minarchist views. I think kilgram has a valid point that he hasn't articulated explicitly, which is that my position is against coercion more that it is against hierarchy. So voluntarist would be a more appropriate description. I didn't want to just give him that, though, because that would kinda defeat the whole purpose of our discussion. I don't know what a primitivist is.

Wow. I haven't read a novel in at least 15 years. PF locked up on me. Now my hands are dirty again. What kind of publicity stunt are you gonna pull so that you can sell a lot of copies? Hey, can you file some lawsuits that would bring the 2011 ndaa or some other law in front of some federal judges?

The "shrugging" will be epic if he gets a second term (especially if the Senate retains Democrat majority)....
the GDP will completely flatline.... unemployment will soar into the stratosphere.... four more years of printing press dollar devaluation (QE) to keep the magic plates spinning, and increasingly punitive regs on conventional energy production will murder the poor and middle class' discretionary income...add in unavoidable tax hikes on consumers....and businesses (that will be passed along to consumers)....which will all further harm businesses and hiring.... sending government dependency through the roof..... A death spiral only "solvable" by "emergency" government take-overs of vast swaths of private sector production ("fundamental transformation")...just as the command economy progressive left planned.

Don't move out now...it's about to get fun.... four more years of the Progressive Boy King's divisiveness and economic/domestic/foreign policy cluelessness will likely turn this powder keg into an anarchist's paradise.

I'm not going anywhere....It's a temporary condition. I told you awhile back that I go on little "walkabouts"....Life, overall, is spectacular, and if I don't "unwarp" my perspective, I spiral into such a cynical place, it's not good for me or anyone around me.

Not to mention, this place is wearing on me....the crescendo of lies and spin....and negativity... around election time depress and enrage, so, in the interest of self-preservation, I generally ease back on actually posting (can't tell you how many NASTY ones I've written, but haven't submitted)

Regular life looking up....Batman, I presume. Awesome, I'm happy for you!
