What a lame argument.. there was NO Israel either.. They were always occupied and governed by another civilization.. Egypt, Assyria, the Greeks, Rome, the Ottomans..

There was no Germany either.... no United States..

Herodotus called it Syria-Palestine in 500 BC..

I was about to mention that. Neither Judah nor Israel ever had true independence. They both relied on greater powers, and paid tribute to greater powers, in order to exist.

The ‘Golan Heights’ was part and parcel of the “Palestinian Mandate Territory” and not part of Syria!

The 'Palestine Mandate' was assigned to Great Britain at the San-Remo Conference in 1920, and later confirmed by the then [League of Nations] on July 1922…

The borders of this ‘Palestine Mandate’ were internationally agreed upon, because they corresponded with those of the “Historical and Geographical Land of Eretz Israel”. And, were intentionally delineated as a basis for the RECONSTITUTION of the Jewish National Home.

The Golan Heights was illegally given away to the ‘French Mandate Powers’ of the Levant (Syria -Lebanon) on March 1923. This territorial transfer was surreptitiously made in a capricious and arbitrary fashion by the British whose sole interest was to secure Mosul's oil fields to Iraq (The Mandate for Mesopotamia), and reduce the constant friction with the French Mandatory Powers in Syria-Lebanon, which had designs on these oil fields. The Golan Heights became part of Syria upon the termination of the French Mandate in 1944.

The Syrians held the Golan Heights from day one of their Independence in 1946 until they lost it to the IDF in 1967 a total of 21 years… Israel has regained/liberated the Golan Heights in 1967 [after it was illegally given away to the French Mandatory Powers (Syria-Lebanon in 1923)] to this year 2012 it totaled 45 years in Israel hands... So by sheer power of accumulated years the "Golan Height" seem to have been restored to Israel's sovereignty.

A Mandate is a Trust, according to ART. 80 of the UN Charter… Israel's decision to impose its Laws on the Golan Heights on December 14, 1981, had in reality, RIGHTED the WRONG that was committed by the British in March 1923.

I am practically sure that Syria could not make a standing claim in an 'International Court of Law' as Syria was not an “Independent Country” then (in 1923), but rather in its formative years under the ‘French Mandatory Powers.’ Once Again the "Golan Heights/Bashan" as it is known in history was never part of any Syrian Real Estate, but part of the Palestine Mandate!

US President Bill Clinton told the late Hafez Assad that Israel accepted US proposal to go to arbitration at the World Court in The Hague to determine the exact line of June 4, 1967.
    Ha'aretz 30 March 2000.

U.S. President Bill Clinton also proposed to late Syrian President Hafez Assad that Israel and Syria go to arbitration at the World Court in The Hague to determine the exact line of June 4, 1967. (Arab newspaper a-Sharq al-Awsat reported). Asked if this was an Israeli proposal, Clinton replied that it was an American proposal accepted by Israel, according to the paper.

Hafez Assad, according to the report, rejected the proposal, saying "the very appeal to an International Court would mean that Syria doubts its absolute sovereignty over the entire Golan Heights according to the borders it occupied until the outbreak of the 1967 war."

Can anyone imagine why Hafez Assad refused to go to The Hague? The answer is so simple… Syria became Independent in 1946! The illegal transfer of the Golan by the British to the French Mandatory Powers was on March 1923!

    Is the GOLAN Syrian?

I do not believe that it does make any difference if Bashar is a villain. Israel should assert itself and stand firm

    (a) Not to share the Golan with Syria since Israel is the victorious party in a war of attrition (see 1967)

(b)The Golan was part of the Mandate for Palestine.

    (c) Syria knows that it will be annihilated if ever it will initiate war again.

I suggest Syria follow the past Peace overtures of Egypt and Jordan and sign a Peace agreement with Israel without any further preconditions. By joining the peaceful past initiatives of these two Arab countries, it would only serve to benefit all inhabitants in this Middle East Arena.

The history of Khazaria was acknowledged by all Jewish historians and linguists (like Pollak or Mieses), but after the Zionists invented the story about the "Jewish people" the real Jewish history in East Europe became a taboo.

Before WW II the opinion, that most Ashkenazi are descendants of Khazars and Slavs, that converted to Judaism in the Middle Ages, was a mainstream opinion, accepted by all major Jewish theologians.

Only crazy Zionists believed before WWII that Jews are not a religious group, but a race or ethic group that is biologically related to ancient Hebrews.

But Zionists were a minority then, and their racial ideas were shared only by the National-Socialists of Germany.

Unfortunately, after the creation of Israel after WWII, the opinion of a crazy minority, called Zionists, became mainstream, and decent Jews, who do not accept this racist craziness, are today called "Self-Hating-Jews".

The Golan was always part of Syria .. and the whole of the Palestine Mandate was never intended for the European Jews.. It wasn't even Britain's to give away per the Sykes Picot Agreement.

Eretz Israel was pretty small .. actually only Judah was left and that was a tiny mudbrick village that was always under occupation.

Of course there were always Arabs, Greeks, Scythians, Canaanites and Gentiles living there as well. Look at the Decapolis..

Great Britain accepted a Mandate for Palestine at the meeting of the Allied Supreme Council at San Remo, but the borders of the territory were not defined at that stage.[65][66] The boundary between the forthcoming British and French mandates was defined in broad terms by the Franco-British Boundary Agreement of December 1920.[67] That agreement placed the bulk of the Golan Heights in the French sphere. The treaty also established a joint commission to settle the precise details of the border and mark it on the ground.[67] The commission submitted its final report on February 3, 1922, and it was approved with some caveats by the British and French governments on March 7, 1923, several months before Britain and France assumed their Mandatory responsibilities on 29 September 1923.[68][69] In accordance with the same process, a nearby parcel of land that included the ancient site of Tel Dan and the Dan spring were transferred from Syria to Palestine early in 1924. The Golan Heights, including the spring at Wazzani and the one at Banias, thus became part of the French Mandate of Syria, while the Sea of Galilee was placed entirely within the British Mandate of Palestine. When the French Mandate of Syria ended in 1944, the Golan Heights became part of the newly independent state of Syria and was later incorporated into Quneitra Governorate.

This "land" is 264 miles X 9 to 90. With the zillions of mile the Arabs have, they can only be made whole by adding this tiny sliver, a little bigger then Delaware. to their Sand Land.:puke:

I've never read it , but from reviews , Im not likely to waste time doing so. I know it was'nt written by any Arab nor have I ever met a Palestinian or other arab who believe that crap. On the other hand there's bound to be proportionately as many gentile as Jewish meshuggeners who'll believe anything .

It was written as a satirical dialogue re: Napoleon the third... adapted and published in Russia.. Had nothing to do with the Arabs.

But, about a decade ago the Egyptians turned it into a comedy series TV show called, "Man Without a Horse.

The British are hypocritical in complaining about the presence of European Jews in the Levant when their own Orangemen illegally occupy part of Ireland. This hypocrisy makes it easy to dismiss the words of Britons.

Once again, you are wrong, wrong, wrong. This was required reading for any Arab from the late 1880's until the present.

Every Irishmen can easily become an Englishmen.

Palestinians cannot become Jews, because Jews believe that they are a race and that Judaism is transferred via genes.

    Can you get my drift?

    Why is it the truth?

Ireland itself was british for much of its history. And protestants make a large part of Irish society.

And whats more all the original nasty business was done long before the modern nation states.

I catch your drift. Let's see if you catch mine. No Orangeman can ever be Irish because the English conquest of Ireland defeases the validity of any claim any Orangemen has to being Irish.

The only thing British leftists have accomplished by coming to an American forum has been to create enemies. Was that a good idea?

You are submitting a defense based on the statute of limitations and the doctrine of laches. Lots of people don't recognize the applicability of those defenses.

Let me give you an analogy. Race relations between African Americans and white Americans are horrible and getting worse. African Americans cannot let go of their history. They don't recognize the applicability of the statute of limitations or the doctrine of laches. If they don't have to do so, why should I with regard to the Orangemen? As far as I'm concerned the Battle of the Boyne was yesterday.
