The armed forces in the UK have been slashed to the bone. It does not surprise me about the small number of planes they could muster. As for the Falklands , why bother sending Prince William down there, when they knew it would only cause conflict with the Argies. Come on, i mean he is only there for a six week deployment, why bother. If you really want to wind up Argentina send Harry. He has just completed his Apache helicopter training, and now certified to kill at will.

I don't expect any Unionist Government would make it easy... they are Unionists, after all......and do rank stupidity rather than pragmatism. Seems to me that if the Unionists actually wanted to keep Scotland in the Union, they would be the ones coming up with devo max for all nations in the UK in a federal system.

It appears the Scottish Tories, at least, think all it is going to take to convince we Scots that we don't want Independence is to enlist backbench Tory MPs to persuade the English they are better off in a union with Scotland. [IMG] I don't think she, like her UK lords and masters, quite gets it, does she?

Personally, I don't give a toss what the English do to make life difficult...but it does kinda illustrate the "bully of the playground" mindset of England/Unionists... which is much like that of the US, the UK and Israel punishing the Palestinian population because the PA had the temerity to try to get their independence by a legal political route.

I would guess a lot of English people don't care much either way....it will, at least give them Right wing America-lite Governments until such time as they eventually become an official state of the USA.

I thought this meant that our sense of smell had got so weak from years of smoking that we couldn't catch the nasty niff of yankee imperialism! I suppose that's true too.
