2nd Amendment Irony: Liberal Justice Stephen Breyer Gets Robbed By Machete-Wielding Intruder. Define irony. Justice Breyer, one of the 4 Supreme Court Justices known for his lack of adherence to, (or willingness to ignore) the 2nd Amendment was robbed by machete-wielding intruder at his vacation home in Nevis. For those of you who are curious, Nevis has strict gun laws. Perhaps Breyer will have a little perspective on how the police are relatively useless when it comes to a guy in your home with a two foot sharp object in your face? Nah, don't let that nasty little fact get in the way of stripping our citizens the Constitutional Right to bear arms. Ironic? Dang right it is! . Anyone interested for buying Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg a plane ticket to Nevis? Perhaps they could get some perspective of why our Founders ensured this sacred right?
They say a conservative is nothing but a liberal who has been mugged. Hopefully Bryer will take this as a sign to turn away from the Dark Side.
The first right to bare arms case in america was over the right to posses swords hidden inside canes in 1832.
Doesnt matter, if its about a liberal politician being attacked the cons all get excited. Some of the posters on here would probably have typed "FINALLY THAT LIBERAL SCUM IS GONE!" after JFK was killed. If the internet had been around during the 60's... Some would also probably say "Sweet, that RINO needed to get swept away" in response to Lincolns killing as well.
There is no evidence a 74 year old guy that sits on his rear all day would be able to access a firearm and use it to defend himself. If the first time you are confronted with violent crime while living in a city like D.C. is when you are 74 that sounds like an argument against fire arms. So after living in DC for years the guy had to go to a foreign country to experience the threat of violence. No guns involved. No one hurt. And this is an argument for arming ourselves back in the US how?
