I actually don't disagree with this. It's just a shame that your side cannot do the same for Republican presidents. I'm not saying you in particular. You might be totally respectful. But there were so many liberals from 2000-2008 that had nothing even close to a shred of respect for President Bush. And it was sickening.

I have to agree that the liberal horde was so blinded by hate during the Bush years that they only stood up for America for a week after 9/11 and then they used the tragedy to advance their progressive agenda. When Bush needed ammunition to fight terrorists the dems only agreed if the bill also authorized additional spending of social programs.

Hillary, Kerry and most of the dems looked at the information available and agreed that Saddam had WMDs but as soon as the first troop was killed they turned and said that they had been tricked. But somehow Bush and Chaney knew that Saddam was bluffing and they went to war for oil. We didn't get any oil but most of the liberal horde still thinks that we did.

I have yet to see anyone on any forum calling for the death of Obama but during the Bush years it was on all of the political forums every day. You complain on the CCN/TIME forum about someone calling for death to all Republicans and you would be banned. On that site some of the liberals would have links to their erotic/pornographic wed sites and I was banned for disparaging the lack of morals at the bottom of the liberal horde.

As far as Obama/Barry; he is already the worst thing to happen to this country, period. Jimmy Carter was an idiot for letting the Iranians occupy our embassy but Obama encourages these Soros thugs, punks and fools to cause civil unrest and cost our cities millions of dollars that they don't have to maintain order as best they can.

Obama goes to Egypt and Turkey in his first weeks in office and tells the students that he is behind them and that the USA is not a Christian country. Soon thereafter we see the whole region falling into the hands of hardcore islamic dogs.

I think that Obama is fighting terrorism for one reason; it angers the hardcore muslims when an American rocket kills innocent women and children in a residential area of Pakistan.

What kind of muslim was Barry when he went to the muslim school in Indonesia? A Shiite? A Sunni? A Washable? They all hate each other so I was wondering if the people he has held overthrow friendly governments were of his favorite sect of ismal?

If the christians don't turn on Obama with a unified front this country will be doomed to government imposed anti-christianism . I'm not a christian but I know some people who are and they will be very sad.

 

The office deserves respect, but the man has to earn respect and keep earning it to remain in office.

When his own people say he is a LIAR, should we respect them too?

The instant I give it the instant I fear.

Some people drink the Kool-Aid one day, spit it out the next, then drink it again; and I suspect this time it has to do with Iran and Israel.

 

Apparently the logic of the Obama-phobes is that if the Liberal Bush-haters of a few years ago behaved very badly, they have not only the right but the duty to behave really badly toward President Obama. Not only is this the false logic of the primary schoolyard but it doesn't explain the ludicrous excesses all too many Obama-phobes indulge in. Those canards include:

1. Barack is a Muslim. If this was true, why are there no reports of him praying to Allah in the direction of Mecca (pretty hard to keep secret) and why does the President eat pork (confirmed) and why is there a lot of evidence that the President is a Christian? Going to a Muslim-run school for a couple of years as a child doesn't make you a Muslim.

2. Barack was not born in the USA. The whole Birther conspiracy thing is so ludicrous I won't get into it here, but surely if this was true definitive proof that this was the case shouldn't be hard to find and produce?

3. Barack is a Marxist. Leaving aside the fact that most people who believe this don't know what the term Marxist means, this belief seems to come down to the idea that any reference to economic/social classes and putting the needs of the average or poor American citizen first is somehow inherently socialist and unAmerican.

4. Barack is a bi-sexual. Where the heck is the evidence for this? Talk about trolling the bottom of the swamp! The man is married with two daughters and no mysterious trysts have been reported.

5. Barack is genetically partly negroid and thus must be a welfare-loving crack-smoking white-woman-chasing whitey-hating scumbag. The overt racism of such ideas of self-evident: likewise the idea that the editor of the Harvard Law Review would naturally use ghetto slang in conversation.

6. The President is deliberately driving the economy into the toilet. This is a classic violation of the dictum "never ascribe to malice what can be adequately explained by simple incompetence".

This is not to say in any way that President Obama is a good, or even adequate, President. It would be nice if all this phobic nonsense could be put aside so we could rationally discuss that question.

 

Respect for the presidency ended with George Bush. Remember how the left treated Bush? They called him every name in the book. Culminated when Bush was in Iraq and an Iraqi threw his shoe at Bush. Vermont has an arrest warrant against Bush for war crimes.

No forget it. Those days are over. Disrespect for the President is here to stay. Obama is just getting pay back by the Right for what they did to Bush. Left will pay back Republicans for what they did to Obama.

It is an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth in todays political world

 

So any opposition to Obama's socialist programs is "behaving badly"? Even the media picked up on the fact that Obama seemed to bristle at any opposition to his agenda and Gov. Jan Brewer observed that he's quite thin skinned. Apparently so are his followers.

The truth is, conservatives don't know what Obama is. There's more evidence that he's a Muslim than there is that he's a Christian. He certainly has never attended a Christian church within the realm of Christian piety and orthodoxy.

Barack Obama was born in the U.S.A, more specifically in Hawaii. This has been the position of most conservatives all along. The birther nuts have certainly been loud and shrill, but they are a distinct minority.

The president IS driving the economy into the toilet. Whatever you think of Bush's spending, Obama tripled it while blocking the very projects that might get us rolling again, drilling projects and the Keystone pipeline. The "blame bush" card has been used too often and is now falling on deaf ears.
