With the US losing its triple A credit rating , things are looking poor in down town America .
So has boy wonder David Cameron been flown in to to give the Yanks the recipe for saving their economy?
Clearly Obama is so unimpressed with the Republican candidates for Office that he can prioritise his time without worrying about their pettiness and lack-lustre looks and performances.
Here are two guys , both set to run their countries for the next few years who need to decide how they are going to burst into Syria and then dunk Iran in the river . Will Obama call on the UK to bring in its Desert Rats to help a tired looking and under performing US Army ?

An excerpt from today's events as found on @YahooNewsUK ( LINK)
David Cameron and Barack Obama have pledged to keep up the "essential relationship" between Britain and America, as the Prime Minister arrives in Washington for talks with the president.
Mr Cameron - accompanied by his wife Samantha, Foreign Secretary William Hague and Chancellor George Osborne - touched down in Maryland, America at just before 6pm, at the start of a two-day official visit.
The trip is one level below a full state visit, which only the Queen as Britain's head of state is entitled to in America.
The Camerons have been invited by Mr Obama following the president's visit to the UK in May last year.
The two leaders used a joint article in today's Washington Post to stress the warmth of trans-Atlantic relations.
"The alliance between the United States and Great Britain is a partnership of the heart, bound by the history, traditions and values we share," they wrote.
"But what makes our relationship special - a unique and essential asset for our nations and the world - is that we join hands across so many endeavours.
"Put simply, we count on each other and the world counts on our alliance."
"And put simply , we want Americans to mix with the best and have fun in these tough times "

The U.S. lost its AAA rating to 1 out of 3 of the credit rating agencies. Despite this, demand for treasuries has increased with interest rates at record lows. That silliness aside, how could the UK "bail" the U.S. out? The UK is at very similar levels of debt to the U.S. without the benefit of being the world's reserve currency.

So how is a country with big debt issues of its own going to bail out an economy 6.5 times its size?

The U.S. economy also grew at twice the rate as the British economy in Q4 2011.....not that either number is particularly breathtaking.

Well, lets see, the US has a GDP of $15 Trillion, UK $2.25 Trillion

US Debt to GDP is 69% while the UK is at 79%

US external debt is $14.7 trillion while the UK external debt is $9.8 trillion.

I would have to say no such offer was made.

Looks as though Cameron is directing a shell shocked US President after yesterday's calamitous Army incident in Afghanistan .

    From @yahooNewsUK
Mr Obama will be grateful for any British help in containing both the Iranian nuclear threat and the possibility of Israel taking matters into its own hands.
Both leaders will seek to exploit the political benefits of the visit.
Mr Obama can profit from arriving in a key election battleground state with a world leader on his wing when the two land in Ohio.

Clearly a deflection from his original post after realizing he has been caught in a lie. Classic troll move.

The UK can,t even bail itself out. When you look at some of the profits that American companies make, It makes the UK,s top companys profits look paltry. There is speculation that the UK might be bankrupt within the next ten years.

He looks like a nice family man and she has that English Rose look . Seems like a great mix .
If he is a Cricket fan and follows a decent footballing team , the country will be right with him .

Incidentally , there are several Hilly Billy people suggesting the UK has not the money to bail out the US .
    But
It's whom you know to borrow from , and the rate you get offered .
Best let good banking practise remain in its natural home .
Who says we have not got several trillion in our future current account --- profit from clever investments in Iraq , Afghanistan and Libya ?

Britain has about the same debt to GDP ratio as the United States. It cannot secure anywhere near the same rate as the U.S. because it's not the world's reserve currency. It's economy is also growing at a slower rate than the U.S. So the "snaggle toothed tea drinkers" aren't in any position to bailout the "hill billy people".

I suggest you go look at yields for 20 year British debt securities versus 20 year U.S. treasuries. You'll notice that the yields are higher for the British securities..i.e its more expensive for the UK to borrow money.

Wow. The tall lady's dress is the same colour as Marie-Antoinette's, after the beheading.

IT'S MY PARTY AND YOU CAN CRY IF YOU WANT TO

"And put simply , we want Americans to mix with the best and have fun in these tough times "
    Last line of the OP.

In what Universe could Cameron / Obama say that and ever live it down ?
It was the last line of the OP . The clue that confirmed that the summary suggestions were about as stupid as could be dreamt up .
But it proved what I felt sure about :-.
Most contributors do not read detail and have an attention span on a par with my cat , Lord Benny .
Some had the courage to say that the premiss was ludicrous but nobody saw that it was a light hearted piece of fun , with a possible hard edge re gullibility and reading comprehension .
    Next question ?
Who does not have the grace to smile at their own indiscretion ?

UK bailing out the US? What's next, a heroin addict offering to help a nicotine addict with his addiction?

The problem arises when you think up something you believe to be humorous, and post it in the "Latest World News" forum.

It is gallant of you to accept what the rest of us know --- that the Humour Gene got lost in America , about the time Richard Prior was on top of his game .
If you can't spot a simple laughter hoax , what chance have you in more complex matters ?
One of the marks of a balanced person is that they can laugh at themself , when needs be .
Stop burying yourself deeper and deeper .

Using words that you don't understand , or , using them inappropriately is a dangerous game . It means that you usually end up looking more stupid than you need to .

Britain and America are going to return to the relationship they had between WWI and WWII. Arm's length. No alliance. No friendship. Normal trade. Correct but limited diplomatic relations.

The problem is it came from you. Safer assumption that you dont have a clue than the assumption you are trying to be funny.

We're still waiting for Raymondo to back up his claims about the UK's ability to bail the US out.
