Exactly, which is why I keep saying I wish there were more moderate politicians with his consistency and honesty. My problem with Paul has never been his character, just his ideas. I greatly respect his character.
　 　 At the time they only protected incumbents, could they have stopped the assassination? Maybe? Maybe not? At least Robert was an elected official at the time. 　 　 　 　 I never said protection might not be deemed necessary, only that it is a form of welfare for public officials and potential public officials. I agree with Paul, he is right in describing it as so.
Which sucks because Ron Paul would put right all that is wrong with this country in a heartbeat. And he would call everyone out that didn't play ball. So if something didn't pass, he would say in an announcement that it didn't pass because these people... I love Ron Paul!! Doctor NO!!!
The moral of the story being, Ron Paul knows it's pee, but he let them pour it in him anyway. Bold and fearless leader indeed.....
Let? Oh no, we're all in this together and we didn't "let" any of it unfold the way it has. Some are just helplessly clueless.
