Doesn't work unless everybody did it, for an extended period of time.

Mine idea won't work either. Too many stupid people vote, ergo unethical scum bags get elected. Can't have one without the other.

The reason why those ideas "won't work" is because they rely completely on other people acting exactly how you think they should. The only person you have complete control over is yourself. When you occupy yourself in work that helps bring peace, you attract the other people that are willing to do the work as well. You then work with them to multiply your efforts.

It starts with finding peace with the world. Then I suggest going into some basic work; creating food, water and energy. Then, and only then, will you be truly effective politically because you won't be reliant on other people following suit. What you will do is simply find the people that already agree with you and boost each other, and help each other refine.

Then you need to get out and spread the message/work.

I basically agree. Pretty common-sense, really.

In addition to my above comment, that is why I continue to support Ron Paul in this Primary, and support Independent/Third-Party candidates whenever possible. I don't put all my hopes into political victory; I spend time doing non-political work that is effective despite who wins the election, thus I don't feel like I need to be "pragmatic" politically.

I vote against military invasions, against the destruction of civil liberty, and against drug prohibition. I also vote against the death penalty. Basically, I vote against government violence.

In the mean time I grow food, help others balance their lives, communicate with people and interact with my community.

Thanks! I thought so myself. I feel sometimes though it is good to remind each other of it, and to remind us that there are other people in tune with this "movement." While you can't put it on other people to give you the confidence in your work, it never hurts to help each other out.

That's where step 6 comes in; political involvement.

You can work with city/county activists to get rid of local taxes, work with activists on your state rep. campaigns to promote "no tax" candidates, and do the same on congressional campaigns.

Which reminds me I forgot to link this article in the article that this post links to:

Anyone have any other thoughts on this? Is this a pretty solid game plan? If so, let me know how it goes for you (assuming all would follow a solid game plan to bring about world peace). If not, tell me how I am misguided.

Dream on, dream away. Corporate wars are here to stay.

Need a leader willing to stop the profiteering. I don't see it on the horizon. The American public has proven what they support. Corporate profiteering at all costs, even if it ultimately doesn't benefit our nation and actually bankrupts our nation.
